So far, extremely pleased! I initially ordered an 8, but I’m finding in most shoes I’m a 7. 5. The 8 fit, but I have a narrow foot overall with Flintstone feet toes. So it felt a bit too wide for me and the heel was a little looser than my preference. The 7. 5 is close to perfect being able to adjust laces. I have a tendency for plantar fasciitis and it has recently been reemerging along with metatarsalgia (both left foot only) so that was my biggest concern. I was specifically looking for a lighter weight, less bulky boot I could easily hike and travel with. I liked the industrial look of the all black without it being too clunky. I have now walked on various terrain and used them on the step mill at the gym to test. They got even more comfortable as I wore them. Looking forward to taking them on a trip! I am also now considering ordering their footbeds to put into some of my other shoes and will definitely be purchasing sandals and others in the future. I love to walk and am intolerant of foot discomfort, so I’m happy to have found these.

It’s a win!

Buying shoes online is always a gamble, but I’m glad I gambled and won on these boots! I love the side zipper, and the lacing makes for a perfect fit with my wide feet and high instep. The accompanying insole is very supportive of my arches, and it can be easily removed and replaced with my own custom orthotics.

I have bunions and high

I have bunions and high arches making my shoe choices limited, otherwise walking is painful. I ordered these shoes because they have a wide toe box, comfortable arch and they tie, which means I have choice in how tight they are to relieve pain from mid foot arthritiis. The shoes have proven to be the most comfortable I have and tough enough to handle snow and ice. Very happy with them!

Love love love these shoes!

Love love love these shoes! They are warm and comfortable and super cute. I have issues with plantar fasciitis and need a good arch. These are so great! I can walk all day and my feet feel so good. Plus, they are so cute. :)

Amazing boots, cute, supportive and comfy!

The boots are amazing! They were comfortable immediately, they look exactly as pictured. They are supportive of my ankles yet soft enough to be comfy to wear. The toes are wide enough not to rub my bunion, the arch support is just right! My feet just love these boots!

I am very pleased with

I am very pleased with this shoe. I especially like that it has the type off arch and foot support I need for my foot problems, so I don't have to take my orthotics when I travel. The fit is perfect and the color works well with black, navy or gray. I particularly like that it laces so that I can adjust the fit as needed.

Love these boots. Great for travel. The side zipper makes it easy to get through TSA. Comfortable and supportive the inner sole is orthotic but can be removed. My only drawback is that I'm a size 10 and in Taos close toe shoes I go up a half size. Unfortunately these skip from size 10 to 11. They don't make them in 10. 5. I had to purchase size 11. I just have to make sure I wear heavier socks. But I wore them everywhere on my vacation.

So Comfortable

I wore my Taos boots the entire time I was in Barcelona and they were incredible. The toe box is roomy, which made long days of walking so much more comfortable. The arch support is excellent and kept my feet feeling great even on cobblestone streets. The side zipper is a game changer because it makes the boots so easy to put on and take off. Overall, these boots were durable, supportive, and comfortable from morning to night. I highly recommend them for travel or everyday wear.

Nice boots

I just returned from a month in Mexico walking miles a day on cobblestone. These boots protected my ankles and gave me firm footing, with no foot pain, even with my neuroma. I love them. On the down side, they are difficult to put on merely by unzipping. Small price to pay. Also, after two months of constant wear and walking, they have held up like a top. And I got compliments on the style. I have very narrow feet. I did use a good insert; otherwise I felt the ground a bit.

I usually wear a 6. 5

I usually wear a 6. 5 and I have a very high arch. 6. 5 fit in the length but the arch felt too far back and even with the laces very loose I couldn’t get them on with the zipper. I went up to a 7 and I love them. I love the wide toe box and they are lightweight and flexible and good arch support. Wish they came in teal green. I would get another pair.

Comfy right out of the box

Great shoe, well built, true to size, with toe box wide enough for bunions. I also have back issues and these do seem to help. Very happy so far!

Very comfortable shoe!

An attractive and supportive shoe. They were immediately comfortable when I put them on and am looking forward to wearing them again. I'm planning a trip in which I need to look professional and will also have to do a lot of walking, and while I usually have to bring 2 pairs of shoes for various foot pain needs, I'm considering only bringing these. I usually wear a size 9. 5 in Taos, for this shoe I sized up a half size to 10 and I'm glad I did because my toes have a little bit more room.

I am very happy with

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought 2 pairs in different colours and am currently wearing one or the other every day. Perfect fit, toe room and arch support. I have some arthritis pain in my feet from time to time and these shoes provide comfort. My first time buying this brand, will definitely purchase again, will need sandals for summer!

Comfortable

I love these hiking boots. They are more comfortable than my Merrell hiking boots. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate my smart wool socks. I have hammer toe and bunion on one foot and these boots are very comfortable with this issue. I am so happy that Taos finally made a hiking boot!

Ready for the streets of Paris in December

I think this is my 12th pair (at least) of Taos shoes and sandals. I needed some warm boots for walking in France and Italy in December, and not only do these provide the arch support and comfort I know I need, I think they are very stylish for a “hiking” boot. I guarantee that I won’t be hiking, but I will be doing a great deal of walking—and these are perfect.

Nice Hiker

Very comfortable hiking boot. I like the aggressive tread on the bottom for walking in snow and ice. Love them overall, just wish I didn’t have to unlace to get them off and on. If the zipper was next to the laces instead of on the side, like on the Taos sneakers, there’d be no need to unlace. I normally order Taos in wide width, but toe box is round enough that the medium width fits great.

Comfortable!

This shoe is extremely versatile. I can wear them for walking, hiking or just for daily tasks. The tread is good! I had hoped for even more arch support, but I think these will suit my needs as well as any built in support out there. I will definitely buy from Taos again!

They work even with a Bunion

The quality of the boot is excellent. My biggest concern was the roominess of the toe box because of a bunion on my left foot. I've worn them for a few hours around the house and taken a couple of longer walks in them and I don't have any pain in my left foot. The main reason I purchased these is to keep me safe on trails. The tread looks great!.

These have become my favorite

These have become my favorite shoes! I’m on my feet all day at work and they have helped tremendously with my foot pain. I love the style, I love the color.

Comfort Level 5 Stars!

First, these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They fit like a glove. They are so supportive I can wear them all day , in fact reluctant to take them off. I have them in black and cognac. I am really struggling with the black leather . I try to clean them after wearing , I apply leather balm and they still look old and worn . I still wear them because they are so comfortable . I am ordering the leather balm on the Taos website , maybe that will work better.

I just received my Trail Mix wine rough out boots. they are gorgeous!! They are so comfortable. I don’t think they even need to be broken in and they fit perfectly. There’s plenty of room in the front of the shoe. I bought a half size larger than I wear because I’m planning on wearing thick socks and walking a lot in them. Beautiful styling, very comfortable, excellent quality, well worth the price.

Love the look and feel

Love the look and feel of these shoes. I have often bought Taos shoes because the footbed and arch support is great for me as I age (76). I can walk all day in these shoes! The reason for the four star rating is that I was hoping this shoes would respond better in snow and ice, but they slip on the ice easily. Otherwise I do love the shoes.

Wish it has thicker sole

Love -Easy to get in and out with zipper open -wide comfortable toe box - good traction -warm Don’t like - sole is too thin. Hurts bottom of feet. -because it doesn’t hold the feet snug, the insole support is not as good as other Taos snickers

Perfect shoes!

I just ordered these a few weeks ago for a 2 week trip to Iceland and Norway. I have to say, that this boot, is without a doubt, the most comfortable that I've ever worn. I have very high arches and had zero pain or discomfort while wearing. I would love to order more, but the colors are limited. Highly recommend!

Great shoe that maybe wears out a little too soon

I bought these in October of 2024 for a trip to Ireland that was going to involve a lot of walking. I never had to wear these in. They were comfortable out of the box. I wore them just about every day through that winter and spring and then again through this past fall and much of winter. So it's probably not fair for me to deduct a star for the soles developing holes in the heels, but I had hoped these shoes would last a little longer. I'm not sure if the soles are reparable. If they are, then the shoes get five stars because they really are a super comfortable all-day shoe. I'm pretty sure they fit the way my podiatrist told me shoes aught to fit.

❤️ these boots!!!

I’ve been wearing these boots sooo much for walking the dogs or just around town because…why change out of something so comfy and cute? 🤷🏼‍♀️ The laces to the toe is a style I’ve always liked, plus it allows a custom fit. It’s like a high top sneaker with rugged soles and excellent, supportive insoles.

Comfort of a sneaker

This style is great for cushioning and arch support. I wanted to love the Crave boots, but they did not live up to the comfort and support of the sneaker styles I have purchased from Taos, so I returned them and bought Trail Mix instead. They are great for all day wear.

These are comfortable, stylish boot that I intend to wear shopping and around town when the weather turns rainy and snowy. They have good arch support. I like that they have both laces and a zipper so I can customize the fit.

Very comfortable right out of box. Arch support is great. True to size. Would recommend these, the are easy to put on, zip up and no tie! Love these♥️

Always love my Taos shoes and these boots are no exception. . . best made shoes for my difficult to support feet. I have had orthotics made several years ago and while I could slip them in, since discovering Taos, I don't need to cause the support is that good.

Boots

Love them. Have neuropathy and I only wear Taos sandals and now their boots! I do have to put my inserts in the boots. Not quite enough support.

Great winter active boots

I love these shoes, the lacing makes them adjustable to fit my wider foot, and they were perfect for a California girl visiting the East Coast in winter - nice grippy tread! I recieved multiple compliments. PSA for frequent flyers: these shoes were flagged by TSA for both of my flights, and I had to slow down the precheck process to take them off and send them though the scanner. Not a bad price to pay to be comfy and supported for the rest of the trip.

Love these boots! I’ve been playing the buy, try, return game all fall with several different brands of boots. So I was concerned about these and their size. There were mixed reviews on the toe fit so I bought the extra return option when I ordered them. No need! They fit beautifully! Are so comfortable right out of the box. Plus they are good looking. Finally found my fall/ early winter hiking and hang out boot. Yay!

Great Purchase

These are comfortable all day shoes. I’m a teacher, on my feet all day, and they feel really good. I can wear these to cross country meets too. The olive color goes with so much of my wardrobe and the thick black laces add a unique look. The side zipper isn’t too noticeable and really helps with getting them on/off easily. Casual and rugged in appearance. I am going to get a lot of wear out of these.

Comfortable right out of the box

I was a little concerned that I wouldn’t have enough time to break them in before my trip, but they were completely ready to go — frankly before I was! They are a little hard to tighten. The laces are very snug in the eyelets. But because of the zipper on the side, I can get them most of where I need them before putting them on, so it hasn’t been an issue.

These are cute, comfy and sturdy! Also very warm in cold weather. I am so glad I decided to get them. Unlike the sneakers that I order up half a size, I ordered these at my usual size and they fit great even with thick socks.

These shoes are an answer

These shoes are an answer to my need for perfect fit at 8. 5 , comfort (I’m standing or walking for 8 hrs), warmth and great tread for icy paths. They look good with my casual office attire. I give them a 5 out of 5 stars!

Great fit!

I have worn these shoes/boots for two weeks solely and really love the roomy toe box and great tread for walking on level but more so, uneven ground. I may get a brown pair!

These shoes are really comfortable. I love having the zipper on the side. I have a bit of a narrow instep, and these fit well. The fit is easy to adjust with the laces.

Love this boot with the "sneaker" look! It has the great arch support i expect from Taos and once you get the lacing set, it's an easy on/off with the zipper.

Comfortable, stylish boots with good traction

These boots are great for every day wear. Wore them in the snow the other day and the tread had great traction. The color is fun but neutral so goes with most anything in my wardrobe. They are comfortable enough to wear all day. The fit is similar to othe Taos shoes that I own. I had to go up 1/2-1 size for a better fit. But they hold consistently to that size.
