comfi but narrow.

I got this sneakers because I got the same sole as the nubuck slip on-Super steps in- which has wide toe box, great heel grip, light weight stable soles and very comfortable. But as some other reviews the width is narrower than any other Tao's sneakers. I have high arch, wider front( bunions) and narrower heels. Tao's sneakers and only shoes I have been wearing for a long time, but this styles fits narrow with thinnest socks below shoelace starts-leather strips goes around foot. Because the leather strips are stitched on, it will not stretch. Also the slanted heels push feet forward, the orthotics fits different way( less arch support). But it is still a good tracking shoes which reasonable arch support, I might try one size up.

Another comfortable sneaker from Taos

These fit perfectly without my custom orthotics. I have a slightly wide foot with a high arch; however, I had plenty of width in the toe box. They are very comfortable to wear and I receive compliments every time I wear them. I wear a 9 in regular shoes/booties and size up a .5 in sneakers. I sized up in these from a 9 to 9.5 and the fit is excellent. These shoes add a different look with my work out clothes; however, I wore them with a short sleeve denim dress and the outfit was stylish; again, more compliments. They were a bit stiff at first, but after wearing them a few weeks, they are comfortable. They also keep my feet dry in the PNW fall/winter climate. In addition, they are fun to wear.

Inward pronation, flat feet, neuropathy and Morton neuroma

It's a struggle trying to find shoes so I can still be an active adult in my early 60s. I've had these about a month now and I'm able to get back to walking, which is vital at my age.

A day to break in, very comfortable walking shoe

Was a little stiff on the first day, but then after a few wears, very comfortable. Good arch support for my extremely high arches (I don't need to use my personalized orthotics), and cushy around the ankles. I love the colors too.

Love these

I love the colors The speckled sole is really cute Lightens up a very rugged Shoe Arch support excellent shape of the shoe excellent My Right foot is wide, and I have difficulty finding cute shoes that are comfortable and fit well Taos Does that I have a special thin insole that I add so the shoes have to accommodate that which these do The toe box is roomy enough The left shoe fits perfectly The right shoe is a little snug on my bunions outside and inside But nothing that a bit of stretching couldn’t help I normally wear a 9 1/2 in a Taos Sneaker and other reviews said to size up, which I did so I got a 10 and it’s perfect. I haven’t been able to replace my trail sneakers for about 10 years and my other ones are Really worn out so these came along at the right time

So good for my feet!

I have plantar fasciitis and I’ve also had foot surgery so my feet need to be babied. This was my second pair of Taos shoes (I also have the plimsoles) and I love them!) They are so comfortable straight out of the box and my feet feel great even on long days. I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks and no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a great fitting shoe that also looks stylish!

A Fun Addition to Any Wardrobe

I live in the Pacific Northwest and these shoes will keep my feet dry year round. I sized up a .5 and my custom orthotics fit perfectly. The fit is comfortable with support in my ankles. I have a slightly wide foot and the footbed is sufficient. I am in my late 60's and these sneakers look and feel "fun and young." They look great with leggings, jeans, skorts, and a summer dress.

Wore these daily on a trip with lots of walking. Very comfortable with the insoles it came with. Other brands I’ve had to put in custom orthotics to survive walking all day. They look great with shorts or a skirt.

Order at least a half size up!

Bought these for a good work shoe. Very glad I ordered a half size up, per recommendations. Was very tight at first, but are perfectly comfortable after a 3-4 day breaking-in period. I like how they support my feet, I don't have issues with plantar fasciitis at all with these.

Impressed once again!

I am a definite fan of TAOS footwear. I love all the ones I own and this latest one did not disappoint. I have a wide foot due to bunions and wear a large size as well. So I'm really happy that they carry them. It's very difficult to find larger sizes in stores. These have a bit more of a rounded toe box so they're comfortable. Good contour and support in the footbed, and I love the combination of colors on these. The feel is firm right now but I think they will get more flexible with just a little time. They are perfect for daily walking or light hiking.

Great after an adjustment

I’m usually a 9. 5, but I ordered a 10 based on reviews. They were super uncomfortable out of the box. Way too small and narrow and the arch support really hurt my feet. I ended up taking out the inserts and putting in a gel insert from the drug store and then they were awesome. I don’t have high arches so maybe that’s why? Great for walking, nice looking.

Great Supportive & Cute Sneaker!

As usual, Taos has the best, most supportive insoles. So few manufacturers have such good arch support *plus* metatarsal support, it makes quite a difference in comfort. The overall comfort, quality, and style is great as well. I do fitness walking on various terrains and this sneaker handles it all. I agree with folks who suggest to order 1/2 size up.

I’m really happy about this

I’m really happy about this shoe! I was a little skeptical at first as it felt tight when I first tried them on. I had read reviews to size up half a size but I kept with my usual size 9 as I have two other pair of Täos that size and the fit is perfect. I ordered a sale shoe so no returns/exchanges. After wearing them for a bit they loosened up and now they feel like little hugs on my feet. I recently went on a 4 mile hike with them and my feet didnt hurt at all! I suffer from plantar fasciitis so I am very pleased with the performance of these shoes.

Advanced Retro 7. 5

Perfect for everyday wear with thin socks but for hiking I would need to go up a half size. I am a 7. 5 with bunions and could have comfortably worn an 8. Love every thing about them otherwise!

Advance Activewear

These were my first Taos purchase, and won't be the last. I purchased these to replace another brand of hiking sneakers, and these are excellent. Substantial shoes - heavier than sneakers, but easy to wear all day and indeed, I've done so a lot. They are great for hiking, walking and biking. The arch is comfortable and indeed, helpful with foot pain. The colors are great. I typically wear between a 7. 5 and 8, and I purchased 8. 5 based on other reviews, and it is the right size for me.

I have several styles of

I have several styles of Taos, and love them all—best arch support I gave ever found for my high arches. This style fits true to size; some styles i need a half size smaller (sandals) or larger (boots). For these my usual 7. 5 is just right. Great quality and style.

Taos Advance. . new favorite!

These are my favorite walking shoes so far. I’m 84 and have bunions on both feet. This toes box is wide enough that there’s no pressure on them. Arch support is also right for me. This color will be perfect with the Fall and Winter seasons coming.

5 out of 5 starsMary E.

Love em’!

Yes, go up a half size. I have bunions and the toebox is fine. This is not a running shoe so it is not like that… They are darn cute, and extremely supportive and comfortable for walking and standing. They will look cute with dresses as well.

My go to travel shoe

Goes from a shoe that looks cute with an outfit at the airport to being the perfect shoe for walking/standing all day. Walked nearly 10 miles at Universal with no foot, knee or hip pain. My daughter wore her Hokas and her feet hurt by mile 6 or 7. She’s begging for a pair now. I ordered my usual sneaker size 7. 5 and just wore no cushion socks. I have fairly narrow feet and they fit great. For reference I go with a 7 in sandals and size up to a 7. 5 in sneakers.

5 out of 5 starsTana M.

Super comfy. Order a size larger than normal.

One of the most comfortable shoes I've owned! They run a full size small, so get one size up. The arch support is superb!

Relief of sciatic pain

I have flat feet from walking on concrete floors for 20 years as a nurse and have developed sever left sided sciatica. These shoes offer such excellent support of my feet that my sciatic pain has reduced to almost zero. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone that stands and/or walks for long periods of time on a regular basis. They work wonders on feet and back pain.

5 out of 5 starsJoanne C.

comfy, supportive and looks great at the gym!

I wanted a shoe to wear to my gym classes, as I was having foot pain from high impact. I wanted the shoe to look like a "workout sneaker" and not scream "I AM WEARING ORTHOTIC FOOTWEAR BECAUSE I AM OLD". This shoe does the trick. No pain with class, wear it to the gym, cute shoe! I also dont like BIG BRAND NAMES plastered on the shoe and this one is fairly discreet.

Great quality but irritated my feet

These are a beautiful shoe, well designed and quality but for some reason not as comfortable for me personally with my flavor of plantar fasciitis. I love my z souls and plim souls. I think I need a more flat base. Sad because I thought these had a great look.

#Fitover50

Dealing with plantar fasciitis had me walking in pain until I tried Taos shoes. After purchasing two pair for work, I decided it was time to try to get back into my walks. I purchased a pair of these and I'm back up to three miles! They are so comfortable!

5 out of 5 starsKathleen

Love these!

I have very high arches and narrow heels. I love brightly colored shoes, but hadn't ever found ones that were both comfortable for all day wear and in colors I liked. These are both, and I will definitely be buying another pair! I did also go up a half size, and they fit perfectly.

5 out of 5 starsKathryn S.

Great shoes!

I am a devoted fan of Taos shoes, and these did not disappoint. Well constructed, comfortable, sturdy, flexible, and wonderful arch support. Plus they look cute. I took the advice from other buyers and ordered a half size up (normally I wear a 9. 5, but I ordered the size 10), and they fit perfectly. Overall, I love these shoes! A bit pricey, but you definitely get your money’s worth. 5 stars all the way!

4 out of 5 starsPamela S.

cute, good arch support but sole is very rigid

They are cute and have great arch support. I have wide feet so went up a half size. They fit ok with a thin sock, but not as roomy as I like. I would've preferred a wide in my reg size. I find them to be very rigid for a sneaker.

5 out of 5 starsResa O.

Arch support

The shoes are very cute and sturdy, but I find that the arch support is not the same with my other Taos (of which I own about a dozen) especially the boots. I’ll probably buy my own foot orthotics and put them in the shoes and then it’ll be fine. It’s just not the same foot plate for anyone interested.

5 out of 5 starsAmanda S.

I love Taoes! They are

I love Taoes! They are the only shoe that supports my flat feet to keep my ankles and knees lined up. The souls aren't just cushion that later collapses. I own 5 pair now. Wish they made mens so my son could also get the benefits. Order a 1/2 size larger. I have narrow feet and they fit great.

4 out of 5 starsJessica J.

Pretty Good!

I have been trying to find the right shoe for my high arches. I'm wearing these for the first time today, and to start they are sturdy and stiff. A little heavy, but okay so far! I can feel the arch support, not sure if it is going to help. But I have gotten compliments on their cuteness!

5 out of 5 starsSusan S.

The shoes are as advertised.

The shoes are as advertised. They are sturdy and comfortable; although I usually wear orthotics in my walking shoes, I do not need them in these. The are so colorful----they go with nothing and everything. I am happy to have them.

5 out of 5 starsJudy M.

Advance

This is the best walking shoe I have ever tried. It provides excellent support for my flat feet and one wonky ankle! Was already a fan of Taos arch supports but this shoe cushioned well so very comfy from the getgo!

5 out of 5 starsAntoinette

Not my last pair of Taos shoes

I am so glad I found Taos shoe brand a few years ago and these have been added to my collection. Multiple surgeries have left behind very cranky feet if not in the right shoe. These did not disappoint. I did order a half size up as suggested and the fit is perfect. Great arch support and ridged sole is just what I needed.

5 out of 5 starsBrittany F.

Great walking shoes

These are my favorite shoes for walking/hiking. They are supportive and durable and stylish! I love the colors and the arch/heel support is great for mid-longer walks. My feet do feel a little bit tired after, but I can tell my arches and heels have more support in these than my traditional walking shoes.

4 out of 5 starsLynn N.

Well made, good support but

Well made, good support but too wide for my narrow foot and I can’t return it since I bought it in discount. I also bought a half size up per reviews and past experience with Taos shoes but I didn’t need to. I love Taos but the unpredictability of sizing is an issue.

5 out of 5 starsGail J.

Happiness for walking and hiking!

So happy Taos came out with this shoe! Has been great fit and comfort right out of box. Have worn all day standing at work, gone walking in them and have had nothing but comfort, which brings happiness!

Support & Comfort!

Ordered these after getting the high tops for a hiking trip and loved them so much. Cute, comfortable and great support without being too heavy. I can easily wear these all day.

5 out of 5 starsAllison M.

So cute!

I love these sneakers! They're so colorful and cute. Very comfy and great arch support. I have a narrow to medium with foot and I describe the feel of the width as compact.

5 out of 5 starsSheri

Love these shoes - colors are great and they are pretty comfy right out of the box. This shoe is a wee bit narrow so go up a half size if you have wide feet.

5 out of 5 starsMarla S.

Another pair passes the test!

These shoes are great. They have a stable foot bed for walking on different terrain, and good arch support.

4 out of 5 starsMichelle P.

Good support

They are a little heavy, but they have great arch support and fit my slightly narrow feet well.

5 out of 5 starsDaphne B.

These are very well made

These are very well made and very smart looking sneakers. I have to wear custom orthotics and they fit in perfectly after removing the shoes inserts. I can foresee getting a lot of mileage from them. Just bought a second pair and one for my daughter. She tried mine and they fit perfect with the Taos insert.

5 out of 5 starsSophia P.

These shoes are cute and will change your life!

I first had Taos sandals that saved my life with plantar fasciitis. Really. Then I developed what I self diagnosed as arthritic knee… but still wanted to be present in the gym… bought these after other shoe tries… changed my life… again!

5 out of 5 starsJennifer W.

Great shoe

I can walk at work again and I can walk my dog. Helping my plantar fasciitis heal

Taos are my all time favorites

I have been wearing Taos shoes for quite some time (plantar fasciatis) Their boot are my riding boot for horses and help my feet. I was so glad to find a pair of running/walking shoes so wanted to give them a try. I wasn’t sure when I first put them in but then realized they were actually putting my feet in alignment and have been great to wear walking, standing etc. Thank you for your shoes as they have helped me so much

I absolutely love these shoes!

I absolutely love these shoes! I have struggled with foot pain in the past and no longer! I love the look and comfort! So cute! I wear these to walk (a lot!), Zumba, cardio dance, biking and just for fashion! They are funky even for a night out. Love the color! I also have the multi color way and get a ton of compliments each time I wear them. Also these are very high quality and look new for a very long time. Yay!

4 out of 5 starsBonnie O.

These shoes are cute with

These shoes are cute with a great color pattern. Luckily, I sized up from a 6. 5 to 7 as they run short. I have high arches and they provide good support. The only issue is they are a little narrow. It was difficult to loosen the shoe strings enough so they wouldn't feel too tight on the top but not be too loose in the heel area.

5 out of 5 starsHeather R.

These are very supportive and

These are very supportive and cute as well. They do need a little breaking in which is different from the sandals I have bought from Taos. But a good shoe for walking. They are as usual well made and a shoe that will last for a long time I believe. I have issues with pain from planter fasciitis and these seem to help with that condition. I'd say they run a little narrow at the toe box. I usually like a bit of a wider fit there so my toes can move more.

4 out of 5 starsAnne W.

Once broken in, fabulous

I need metatarsal & arch support for treadmill and outdoor walking and jogging. Ordered these hoping that they would fit the same as the slippers I have from Taos. At first they were too tight over the top of my foot, uncomfortably so, but after a few sessions they started to give more. If I wear light weight socks they are now fine. Shoes are handsome and supportive. I wish you had a plain old gym/walking shoe without the fancy leather trim.

5 out of 5 starsHeidi B.

Fabulous sneakers! The arch support

Fabulous sneakers! The arch support that Taos is famous for is absolutely present — my feet feel great even after a full day on them. I've gotten so many compliments too. Stylish yet comfortable is exactly the Taos brand promise, and these deliver. I go up a half size so they fit perfectlt. Highly recommend, especially if you have achy feet! I'm a teacher, I get a lot of miles on my feet.
