Almost great

I am mostly happy with these shoes. I have wide feet and get frustrated with the general lack of options out there. Often shoes that are sold as "wide" only have a slightly wider toe box. These ones are better. The sole is comfortable, even for me. (I have a bum foot with plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, a pronounced bone on top of the foot and posterior tibial tendonitis) I would love it and call it great if it was a bit wider. My feet don't scream at me but at the end of the day when I take them off my feet are red at the pressure points on the outsides of the ball of my foot. Overall though, they fit the best out of the shoes I currently own with the exception of my golf shoes.

Love these sneakers!

This is my fifth pair of Taos sneakers. I have flat feet and a history of plantar fasciitis -these sneakers feel great right out of the box and I can wear them all day without any foot discomfort. Love them!!!

Fourth pair of Taos Star

Great quality tennis shoe. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and now will only wear supportive shoes. These have excellent arch support and are very comfortable. I usually wear 8 1/2, sized up to 9.

Best arch support

I am prone to plantar fasciitis and these are the only shoes I can wear without additional inserts. They are stylish and comfortable!

Star shines

I was very unsure how these would fit. I’m normally wear a 7-7. 5 but ordered these in 8. 5. I wanted some more room in my toe box. They felt so heavy and stiff. I was sure I would end up with a blister on my heel. Arch support was great. I suffer from plantar fasciitis. No blisters at the end of the day and I walked around a lot at work. I kept wiggling my toes and enjoyed the room but I probably could have ordered an 8. Really happy with these.

On my 2nd pair!

These are my new favorite casual shoe. Because of autoimmune arthritis, I can't wear shoes without strong arch support--which means most shoes on the market are out, including all the cute ones. I'm left with a selection of offensive old-lady styles. And even after buying more expensive, "supportive" ones, I still have to supplement with arch supports. But then I found these, and it changed everything! They are CUTE, and I can wear them without addition supports and still be comfortable after wearing them all day! I love this style, the heathered charcoal color fits with everything, they are made well, and they support my feet. They do run ever-so-slighty narrow, I think, but that's part of why I adore them. They are casual, but also can be dressed up and look chic. I wear them with everything: errands, dates, to the office, anywhere I go. Thank you for understanding that there are young(er) people who want supportive footwear with style, too!

Size up ½ size for a perfect fit

This style was my 1st experience with Taos brand aprox. 9 years ago. While managing a small privately-owned shoe store that specialized in comfort and orthopedic styles I was blessed to be given a free pair from a Taos rep. The rep that offered to send me a pair told me they run a half size small. I typically wear an 8½ so we ordered the 9 in white. It fit perfectly. Since then I've loved the brand and style. I've had many family/friends ask for recommendations and this one is in my top 3! I love that you can purchase the orthotic insoles separately too that's a big added bonus! All around Taos is an exceptional brand with quality shoes that last for years. The comfort is amazing and as long as they make this style I will continue to purchase every few years. The only con is there are limited colors!

Most comfortable canvas sneaker!

Wow! For what I consider to be an old fashion style canvas shoe, these sneakers have the best arch support. I ordered them in W because a lot of the popular brands like this run so narrow and I didn't want to take any chances. They are perfect and can be worn immediately. I ordered a 7.5 W, 7.5 is my usual size. I have a small bunion on one foot and did not want any pain, so I went with the W. They are perfect, not bulky. I wear them with sweats, jeans, and may even wear the white pair I purchased with a sundress. I will buy these every year. I wish they made an active sneaker that I could exercise with because the arch insole is the best out there. I also feel like the arch hits in the right place. A lot of times it hits too far back towards the heel. This is a tad bit more forward and is perfect!

Great quality. Nice sleek look for a wide shoe, with comfortable arch support and thick sole. Great fit for my toe and Morton’s Neuroma issues, as well as comfortable on my ankles when they swell.

So comfortable!

These shoes were so comfortable right out of the box. Good arch support, enough width for my wide feet, and a really cute style. These are my first pair of Taos, and they certainly won’t be the last.

Thrilled with the comfort. I have high arches and wide feet. These are an incredible find! I have the white for keeping at work to do a quick change and the grey for casual. They're cute and comfy and perfect !

They are so comfortable. I can wear morning to night. I have narrow width and high arch. And they fit everywhere with lots of support.

Shoes are good, return service in Canada is terrible

I followed reviewers' advice and sized up by a 1/2, but this was still too small. I had to order a full size larger. I have only worn them to and from work, ~ 1 km walk each way. The shoes are comfortable with good arch support, and I think are probably best for people with narrow feet. They seem well made, but only time will tell. Returning the pair that was too small was expensive ($26) via Canada Post, the only option Taos would accept. Will avoid online shopping with them in the future.

My fave

Bought 3 pairs (in fear of them being discontinued). Wide roomy toe box, great arch support - perfect for wearing all day. I order a 1/2 size up and Wide even though my feet aren’t that wide. They are kinda bony so I can’t do true barefoot shoes

This was my first Taos purchase. I am always skeptical about first purchases. These arrived, and were comfortable right out of the box. The arch support is amazing! I did order the 1/2 size larger based on other reviews, and they fit perfectly!

Happy first-time customer

Very happy with this purchase. The shoe is extremely comfortable with good arch support. This is really nice as I have a standing desk at work so am on my feet the better part of each day. Looking forward to another purchase soon.

Comfy

This is my third pair of Star style. I tried a different style but I went back to these. I also own 2 pair of sandals. I am a tried and true advocate for Taos shoes. With suffering from plantar fasciitis these are all I can wear. Pricey but worth every penny.

Perfect for standing all day

I love these shoes! I stand all day at work and my feet used to hurt all the time due to lack of support. I have worn these every day since they arrived with absolutely no pain! My high arches love them, I’m supported and they didn’t even need a breaking in period, perfect from day one. I am glad I went up a half size from my normal, they definitely run a bit small

I Love these!

Since I wear a size 12, it has been difficult to finds supportive, well fitting shoes for casual use.nthis shoe with its well designed arch supports(far better than drug store inserts) have greatly improved my comfort and significantly reduced foot and knee pain. Almost orthotic and miraculous. I bought a second pair and 2 more insoles

Shoe was true to size, footbed is comfortable, unfortunately the seem that crosses the bunion area is very painful, will need to return for that reason.

I've been trying to get

I've been trying to get non-clunky white sneakers that I actually like and that fit my narrow, flat-instep foot for awhile. These really fill the bill - They are low-cut, not too much material, fabric (not plastic) canvas, arch support, can be laced to fit, I feel comfortable wearing them with dresses and skirts as well as jeans and shorts. Taos shoes are pricey but it's not money wasted.

Excellent sneaker

Excellent sneaker, perfect…. I size up to 8, which is 1/2 size up for me! I have 15 pairs in all different colors except white, which I have 2 pairs. These are my everyday, every activity, go to shoe! Never have to break in, wear them right out of the box!!! The arch support is amazing. Highly recommend…..

Ordered the Star shoes in

Ordered the Star shoes in gray. They are nice looking & comfortable with a good arch support. They are cut narrow; I ordered an 8 regular which fits only because I have a narrow foot. If wearing thicker socks I could have sized up to 81/2.

All day comfort

I'm so pleased with these shoes. They have the perfect arch support and are wide enough to accommodate a wide toe box. I can wear them all day.

Love these—please don’t stop making them!!!

These have been my go-to sneakers for nicer casual wear—and the leather ones work great for business casual. They have just the right support and cushion, while staying lightweight. I’ve literally walked miles and miles in multiple cities in these, with no foot pain!! I’m so incredibly bummed that Taos has stopped making them!! The thicker, heavier sole on the new styles is nowhere near as comfortable—it completely changes how the shoe feels. Not sure I’ll keep buying Taos shoes that aren’t these. I’m so disappointed!

My first pair from Taos

I have high arches and these shoes fit with the right amount of arch support. They look great with casual clothing and appear to be very well made. Bottom line - I love them. These are my first pair of Taos shoes, but will not be my last.

I need a wide shoe and these are really cute and go with an “everyday” wardrobe. Very comfortable, even for my bunion issues. I’m going to purchase a second pair.

Cute and Comfortable

These are very comfortable. I am learning that I take an 8 1/2 in Taos, where I take an 8 in Vionic and Dansko. I ordered these in 8 1/2 and they fit great and I have room for a sock. I was worried they might not have enough support for me since I am used to wearing true walking shoes most of the time but they will be great to use for casual days (maybe not for a long walk/hike). They look great and I bought them to have an alternative to wear with sun dresses this summer when I don't feel like wearing sandals.

I love this shoes. Bought it wide because a previous pair was too tight on the with, I wear regular or medium width. Wide width fits perfectly. I bought this because of the arch support Taos shoes have the best. Inside sole looks to be a type of carboard and it cracks where the shoe folds often while walking. I do hope Taos warranty replaces the shoes when it beaks otherwise I won't ever buy another. It is too early for me to know it but the inside sole is already breaking.

This is my second pair

This is my second pair of star sneakers!! My first pair is still going strong despite looking a bit weary hence the new pair. They are so comfy and the arch support is superior. I have recommended Taos to all my senior friends who like stylish footwear and great comfort. Thanks for such a quality shoe. Looking for sandals very soon!

So cute!

I really liked these shoes. They are adorable and I love the arch support. They are true to size and the canvas was beautiful. I plan to wear them when I go to Europe so I can walk in style. I’m a bit afraid of them getting dirty because of the color, but that’s a personal fear and not a reflection of the quality of the shoe.

Second pair

I bought this pair to replace my worn out pair from 7 years ago.. these are just as comfortable and cute as my previous pair. I travel quite a lot and walk miles when I do.. these are my shoes of choice, when it’s not raining.. great arch support and never a blister or sore spot. I plan to wear out this pair as well!!

Lightweight shoe with a great

Lightweight shoe with a great arch support. I have medium width feet and shoe provides lots of room, only thing is they are just a touch short but I wear them with no socks, wish they came in half sizes as full size is too big. Otherwise very comfortable.

Best tennis shoes

Love this shoe! I have the Crave boots so know how comfortable and supportive Taos shoes are. The Star does not disappoint. Cushion is like walking on a cloud. Fit is perfect. I can wear with or without socks. My new favorite everyday shoe!!

Love these tennis shoes and

Love these tennis shoes and how they look. I have a narrow foot thus they are wide for me. However, because they are tennis shoes I can tie them tight enough to fit. This shoe has great metatarsal and arch support.

Fantastic arch support!

I needed superior arch support as mine are high, as well as stability after fracturing my fibula in two places a few months ago. Great support and comfortable to do some distance walking. Love them!

Comfy and cute

I have these in several colors, and love them! They have enough arch support for my feet, while being cute and comfortable. I size these up half a size from my normal size.
