I suffer with an Achilles

I suffer with an Achilles tear( waiting for surgery) plantar fasciitis, a bunion and severe arthritis. These feel and look wonderful! I’m a 9 1/2 and bought the 10, it’s perfect. I have narrow feet but these aren’t too wide or too narrow. Feel heavenly! 😛

These shoes are comfortable and cute! I have plantar fasciitis and need some travel sandals for vacation, these are great. I love the leather, and the soles are great as well. There is good support in the arch as well.

Love these!

I have high arches/instep plus a wide foot at the base of my toes and once these break-in a bit I think they will be an everyday sandal. The leather is soft and it doesn't rub at all. It could stand a little more arch support for my foot but definitely has more than most. Very comfortable! I have the tan color and they will go with pretty much everything in my closet. Glad I ordered these!!

So comfortable and love the weave and black goes with everything! This is my sixth pair of Toas shoes, and they have really helped me with my high arch and plantar fasciitis since I cannot wear shoes with backs since it flares up when I do. Love, love, love my Toas shoes and will continue buying them. Have not bought another brand since I started with these 😊

Beautiful

I have plantar fasciitis and I have had 2 surgeries for it, so I need well made, comfortable shoes. I have several pairs of Taos, and they are extremely comfortable and I can walk for hours with no problems. I love the look of the Guru, and the footbed is extremely comfortable. The only letdown (just a little), they are a lot wider, so they are loose. I imagine over time they will be too loose.

Extremely comfortable

Comfortable right out of the box. Very soft supple leather. I’ve had some sandals made this way that cut into my toes, but I’m very impressed with the softness. My foot is on the narrow side with high arches and it fits pretty well without much slipping. Arches could be a little higher for my liking but it was supportive enough to order another pair!

Very comfortable out of box, leather has a lot of give in the width, I imagine this would be a plus for those with slightly wider width, not for slim feet. Arch support and ball padding not as supportive as I would like for long distance walking but super comfy for milling about town.

I love my new Guru

I love my new Guru slides! So comfy right out of the box! I've wanted these sandals for awhile and finally took the plunge! I have ugly feet. Bunions and hammer toe, I can only wear certain shoes to be comfortable. Many Taos fit the bill. Guru in particular, comfy to my bunions and toe, plus the style HIDES both, which is a bonus for sure! The sole is super comfy and supportive. I will be wearing these all summer for everyday to out at night!

Comfy… just wish footbed were leather

Comfortable. I have foot issues (flat feet with big toe joint pain) and have found it very hard to find attractive leather sandals with arch support. Wish these had a bit more arch support, but it’s better than most sandals on the market. Would be perfect if footbed were leather (it’s microfiber, and feels like it) and shoes came in half sizes. I’m an 8.5/EU 39 and the 9 is just a tad too big for me.

Cute and supportive

I have very high arches, and while no sandal is comparable to having my orthotics, the sandal is very comfortable and supportive. I am between two sizes, and ended up keeping the load of the two.

Great sandal! I have narrow

Great sandal! I have narrow low loft feet and have struggled to find a good sandal but the Guru is perfect! I usually wear a size 7 1/2 but with no half sizes, ordered the 8 and it fits beautifully. They are very comfortable to walk in despite struggling with plantar fasciitis.

Guru sandal

These are my go to slides/sandals. I was skeptical how well they’d fit, but they are perfect. I’m an 11 with a narrow foot. I use them as slippers too bc I had severe plantar fasciitis & I don’t walk on ceramic tile barefoot. Love them !

Great Sandals, Weird Feet

I love the way the Guru sandals look. I wore them grocery shopping the first day and they felt super comfortable. I was complimented on them as I went in. As I came out I was cussing and doing child-birth breathing to make it to the car because they’d rubbed blisters on the top of my pinkies. I’m pretty sure for most people that wouldn’t be a problem, but my pinkies tend to lift skyward (all the time). For me, they would be much more comfortable if there was a one-piece, soft, smooth- leather lining on the woven part. The foot-bed feels great, they ran true to size and accommodate my bunions well. I thought about returning them, but I really do like them so much that I’m going to wear them with silicon pinkie sleeves or blister band-aids. I love the brown color, but would really like to be able to buy a red pair as well.

I probably should have returned

I probably should have returned these as they are short but I didn’t because they don’t come in half sizes. I didn’t return for two reasons. The footbed is sooo comfortable and supportive. Secondly, the leather “strips” of the sandal are placed closer together than other sandals I’ve tried that allowed my bunion to protrude in the space. I’m fairly confident that, as I wear them, the leather will stretch and my foot will slide further into the footbed and not be so short.

Beautiful, comfy shoe (even for wide feet)

I am giving 4 stars because I love TAOS and this shoe is beautiful. You can tell the sole is super comfortable. However, I have to return because I have wide feet AND Tailors Bunions (bunionettes on pinky toes). So, if you have wide feet and those-- these will cause pain. I think if just have wide feet (not too wide, maybe just a D)- this WILL work for you. These stretch to a wide and are super comfortable. Hope this helps.

I really like the shoe.

I really like the shoe. It has great arch support, which I need for flat feet and a fallen arch. I have learned that good shoes make so much difference, as the pain and discomfort from wearing the wrong shoes can steel your joy!!! The shoe does run a bit wide, but it was not a problem for me.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased Täōs Guru sandals. I Love them. Great arch support, which makes them so comfortable right out of the box! Size ref: I am a 7. 5, and I ordered a size 8. Perfect fit!

Love the style. Have bunion and don’t like how narrow strap sandals look. Issue I have is with a long, size 11, narrower foot the leather is not snug so foot moves around now. I expect it would work better for wider foot bed.

Perfect casual sandal.

These are so comfortable. They form perfectly to the sole of my foot. I have a slightly high arch. The leather is soft and does not rub uncomfortably at all. They feel snug, but not tight. LOVE.

Buttery soft!

I love my new Guru Taos sandals! They fit perfectly and I can walk around all day in comfort. If you have bunions, you need these shoes because they are forgiving and so so fashionable!

It’s hard for me to find comfortable shoes due to neuropathy. These fit great, stay on my feet and are now a favorite!

Very comfortable

These sandals run true to size (I wear size 7 and got them in size 7), are very comfortable, and the quality is good. They are a little wide for my narrow feet and the style is - sturdy - as opposed to pretty and more feminine. I could add a strip of moleskin to the inside of the top of the sandals to narrow them up a little. And then, if I keep them, I just need to get over the style because as I mentioned they are really comfortable. If I keep them I will probably only wear with jeans.

A comfortable, supportive sandal to

A comfortable, supportive sandal to easily slip on, great for standing on hard floor kitchen floor. The R shoe rubs a bit on the top of my big toe but leather is supple and seems to be stretching out with wear. Shoe was initially a bit wider than average and feels like it will easily stretch more, fine for my feet may be too loose for a narrow foot. Versatile and easy to wear with most everything.

Very Comfortable

I purchased these about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable, and I love the arch support is great. I'm 74 years young and I find that when I wear other sandals, my feet hurt quite a bit while walking and they have a pretty good arch support. But with the Taos sandals, I can actually go shopping all day without any pain in my feet. I highly recommend them.

As someone who needs really

As someone who needs really solid arch support and a deeper heel as I deal with osteoarthritis, these sandals are terrific. They are soft, but offer the necessary support to walk pain-free all day long. I was hesitant to spend so much on sandals, but I will attest that Taos is worth the price as their comfort pays dividends all day long!

Great foot-hugging sandal

Pretty comfortable but a little snug. I expect the leather weave will loosen with wear. Like all my Taos sandals, great arch support and foot-bed comfort.

I like a slide in

I like a slide in sandal, but they need to be comfortable and easy to walk in without sliding around my foot. These, while they seem on the flat side, offer excellent support for my arch without causing foot pain. They are easy to wear without being too tight or too loose. They are so comfortable I bought a second pair in another color.

Fun Sandles

Comfortable sandals. I generally wear orthotics however cannot with sandals so I like to purchase with a very pronounced arch. In this case sandals are good enough to keep just not a daily wear for me because of the arch. If I did not have this issue these could be worn daily.

A fabulous, stylish walking shoe

A fabulous, stylish walking shoe with excellent cushioning. Comfort shoes don’t have to be dowdy. I do have bunions (not as pronounced as others), and these shoes cover those areas, and are comfortable for me.

My feet are narrow with

My feet are narrow with a high arch and these fit like a glove. They are very comfortable and look good with everything.

My Go-To Sandal

I already have this style in the honey color, so when brown showed up, I had to have them. They are a goes-with-everything sandal. The footbed is very comfortable, has good arch support and heel cup. I especially like how the upper part totally covers both sides of the foot and keeps the toes from spilling over the edges. In thong-type sandals, sometimes my baby toes go a little over the edge, so this works much better. The upper part is also very reminiscent of the Mexican huarachi but more refined. It is lined so cannot pinch. If other colors are made, I will get those, too. This is my summer go-to sandal.

Zen Comfortable

I really love the woven leather tops, similar to Mexican made Huaraches. I bought them for my daughter who already has a wide foot and she gave them back to me because they made her foot look even wider. I have a narrow foot, so they need to be at least a half inch tighter to be a little more snug as they will stretch even more with use. My favorite new $$$ slipper. They can be worn out and about as well. They just look a little too comfortable. Tighter would fix that.

Beautiful & Comfortable Leather Sandals

I usually wear an 8½ and started with an 8 but needed a 9. The exchange process was simple and I received the replacements in 2 days. I've had 6 foot surgeries on my right foot and have trouble finding sandals that fit and hide my very scarred foot. The footbed on these sandals is extremely comfortable and has some cushion and cooling effect. The upper leather is soft and flexible but supportive. These look great with shorts, dresses and pants.

Taos makes the most comfortable

Taos makes the most comfortable sandals ever! The Guru slip on sandals do not fail. They are made with care and great quality material. I have so many Taos sandals and there is not another sandal I will purchase because right out of the box the comfort and perfect sizing is unbeatable. Love this brand!

Very comfortable

These are wonderful! Very comfortable. I have a bunion and it doesn’t hurt when wearing these. The footbed doesn’t feel quite as good as the Taos clogs I’ve been wearing, but they are better than the average shoe.

I have high arch so shoe runs too short. If leather relaxes a little, maybe the fit will work. Seems to be well made otherwise.

Nice red shoe

Lovely shoe, great style. Love the red color in person. I have only had the shoe just over a week, this is my forst pair of Taos, but the quality of craftsmanship seems really great. However this is a very tight size 8 out of the box. My solution: I wore for a half hour then did a rubbing alcohol+water spray on the leather while on my feet and let dry while wearing. The leather loosened up very quickly to provide me with a now perfect fit.

Comfy and good-looking

These are wonderful, attractive slip-on casual shoes. I would wear them all the time, but even the narrower width is too wide for my skinny feet and I can’t walk around in them and feel steady. I love the way they look. The construction is excellent. I would even find them good for these high-mileage feet in terms of support, except for them being too wide to stay on. Make them in a true narrow size, and I would buy several pairs!

Better than Huaraches

Last year, I ordered genuine huaraches online only to find that I could not wear them because they were so flat. They had no arch support. When I saw this sandal, the Guru, which has the huarache look with a firmer foundation, I jumped at it. The slide looks perfect with jeans, casual dresses and shorts. I wore it all day several timws on a recent cross country road trip. It's a summer classic again.
