Go for it!

I really hesitated on buying these due to the price point and some of the reviews saying they aren’t as comfortable as advertised, issues with the straps, leather coming up high against the ankle etc. They are comfortable. No doubt about that. If you are looking for a very thick footbed and ridiculously high arch though, I can see why some customers MIGHT give a lower rating…BUT they are 100% cushiony and have the arch support 99% of the people buying these will need. I actually love that the footbed isn’t awkwardly thick because the sole has some flexibility which a proper walking shoe needs. Onto the straps. They are comfy! They are soft and pliable on the foot - overall they aren’t going to dig in or rub a whole lot (I have sensitive feet and get friction blisters…I don’t with these). Unless you have very sensitive feet or order the wrong size, you’re not going to have issues. If you have a VERY narrow foot, yes, your foot may move around a bit even with the straps pulled tight (I have pretty narrow feet and they are fine)…and they can be adjusted for wider feet, but if you have very very wide feet, I could see this style digging in because of the overall design on top of the foot arch where it doesn’t adjust. This style will fit a narrow to a wider foot but if you are an extreme case on either side of the coin, ok yes, maybe not the ideal shoe for you. If you have a pretty normal foot you’re golden! Velcro. It’s fine. Maybe if you are getting these things dirty or storing them where there are dust bunnies without securing the velcro, it might wear down from dirt, moisture or neglect with time. Admittedly I have only had these a short while…so time will indeed tell. You do need to use the Velcro over and over to get them on and off. I could see the velcro wearing down with age and frequency, but it is strong…not weak at all like some of the reviews state. Reports of these coming undone with only a few wears…. something else is going on (on too big a foot or velcro is wearing down for other reasons than wear). The upper leather strap does come up JUST below the ankle. I personally don’t find it bothersome but I can see why people may have rated it lower than 5 stars because of this. Again, the straps are so nice and having a bit of structure against the ankle to prevent rolling on uneven surfaces is actually quite nice. I’m very happy with my investment. As advertised, they go with everything, will likely be the only shoe I need for summer travel (I do a ton of walking around in European cities). I expect I will be living in these and likely will be buying more in time.

The most comfortable sandals

I now have 4 pair of Taos sandals, which is amazing since I haven’t been able to wear sandals in many years. Between arthritis and plantar fasciitis, it was clunky sneakers for me until Taos came along. I also have several pair of z soul canvas sneakers that I have worn for the past 2 years. Thanks, Taos, for lowering 30 years of foot pain to almost zero!

I love these sandals !

These shoes are extremely comfortable and have great arch support. They are good for my plantar fasciitis and neuropathy. I like them so much I bought three pairs.

Crazy Amazing!!!

I purchased these in nude or tan and they look lovely on. I love the versatility of being able to dress these up or down. They look amazing with jeans, shorts, capris, dresses, you name it. If looks aren't enough to love, these are so comfortable. I normally wear a size 8.5 but purchased a size 8 as they don't have half sizes. I am so glad I did as they fit perfect in length. My foot is average in width but the adjustable straps allow you flexibility to adjust both at the ankle and the toe. These have quickly become my favorite shoe even surpassing my Finn Comfort. I have neuropathy, Fibro, and plantar fascitiis so I understand the struggle to stay comfortable on my feet. These are stylish and a blessing to my feet. A couple important closing notes. The strap at the heel is padded so it cushions against blistering and the arch support, as is custom on Taos sandals and non-athletic shoes, is outstanding. The Show is another great shoe from Taos.

I'm a new customer and

I'm a new customer and fan of Taos and 'The Show' sandal in particular. This is my second pair of that style and I love them! I have very high arches and plantar fasciitis but can wear these sandals all day long with no discomfort. The 'shield' style covers my high arches well and helps keep my feet where they should be in the sandal. They are more expensive than other sandals but if you are like me and have trouble finding comfortable, supportive, stylish sandals due to your foot issues, these are well worth a try.

I got these shoes for a trip to Europe. They are stylish and comfortable. I've had issues with plantar fasciitis, but I did not have any heel pain after spending several days and walking many miles in these shoes.

These are some of the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn and give great support for my plantar fasciitis. Comfortable right out of the box. I sized down to an 8 because my usual size 9 was a little too loose

Best sandals ever

Okay, so you can kinda call me a bandwagon reviewer. I have worn Taos shoes off and on for the past 20 years. They are well-made shoes, especially for folks who don’t have your typical feet. When I saw "The Show" sandal on the Taos website, I read the description and thought, wow, these sound amazing, and they looked like an attractive shoe. Then I saw the number of 5-star reviews they had (this is where you can call me a bandwagon reviewer if you like), but these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn right out of the box. I bought them for a trip I am taking this summer, and I have been wearing them nonstop. They feel broken in from the get-go; the arch support is great (I have flat feet), and they are comfy. I can’t tell you enough how much I love these sandals. They really live up to the praise, and it is easy to see why they have over 4,000 5-star reviews. They are my favorite summer sandal.

Soft and supple.

These sandals were everything I hoped- comfortable right out of the box, classic styling, great adjustable fit. The sole is very cushioned for extended wear. For long walks I would have preferred a bit more support or stiffer sole to accommodate my arthritis, but overall I am delighted with these sandals for travel and daily wear.

All day comfort on my hard to fit feet!

I have short, wide feet with a very high arch. It’s challenging to find cute shoes that fit well and provide all day comfort. I’m a first grade teacher so I’m on my feet all day. These shoes did not leave me limping at the end of the day. I now have two pairs of sandals from this company! Well worth the cost!

Just got my third pair of the Show!

I now have 3 pairs of the Show, and have one other pair of Taos sandals whose name escapes me. I have fallen arches and have had plantar fasciitis, but I can wear these all day, day after day, without problem. My heels are narrow, but forefoot is of normal width, and sometimes I have a tough time finding shoes that work. These are very comfortable. I just ordered my first pair of the Loop and can't wait to see if I like them as much. Taos brand shoes are great and I've told friends about them.

Wonderful Shoes

I love these shoes! The leather is super soft so no cutting in when you walk. Also, I have plantar fasciitis so I need good support so it won’t be aggravated and these shoes provide just that. On top of that they’re just beautiful!

Most comfortable sandal for travel

Bought these for a 3-week trip doing a lot of sightseeing on rocky, hilly terrain at ancient ruins. Wore my good athletic shoes the first day and my feet ached. Switched to these the next day, and they were amazingly comfortable. Wore them the whole time and never had any issues with pain or blisters. Very well made, no break-in time needed, adjustable for extra support when needed. The soles are a little slippery on smooth surfaces, but otherwise very supportive, even for my very high arches.

Comfortable right of the box

These were comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t have to wear them in. I have wide forefront foot, narrow heal, high arch. I appreciated being able to adjust the straps to fit my feet perfectly. I wear between 6-1/2-7. Since there were not half sizes I bought a size 7 and it fit perfect. I have been wearing these everyday and have no problems.

Classic and versatile!

I love the look of these sandals; the classic color and design go well with shorts, capris, or sundresses. The arch support, soft lining and padded heel strap make them comfortable to wear all day. And the adjustable straps let me loosen them if my feet swell during the day. The quality workmanship and materials are evident, and I expect to enjoy them for several summers.

Just bought my third pair of Show!

I love these sandals. I am 70, have fallen arches, and have had plantar fasciitis. I am careful about what shoes I wear. I have had a pair of Taos in another style for a few years, which were fine, and bought the Show based on the rave reviews. Then I bought a second pair, and now a third. After living in sneakers with orthotics except for dress occasions, I can't tell you how great it is to just slip into a pair of sandals and go. Convinced a friend to try them as well, and she's now gotten a second pair. Love them!

Best Sandal Ever! Great fit in size 10.

These sandals are perfect. I’m back to buy another pair. I’ve had mine for more than a year, and I’ve walked miles and miles in them. I’m 62 and have had plantar fasciitis and miniscus tears in both knees. I’m VERY picky about my shoes. Before these I could not have both comfort and style. I love love love the shoes. Adjustable in the right places and the perfect length (if you wear a 10, you know what I mean). Mine still look new. They’ve been rain-soaked several times. I wear on the beach, and they just look better and better. I have the caramel color and am trying to decide on another color because the ones I have are not worn out!

Happy Feet Happy Woman

I have difficulty finding comfortable sandals and have been so happy to find these. My feet are problematic with bunions, flat arches, But these sandals have given my feet 'new life'! I can walk in these all day and also they look stylish with all my summer clothes. I enjoyed the Taos product so much that bought three other pairs in different colors and features.

The Show sandal was everything and more than I hoped for. I have plantar fasciitis and the arch support does its job to help relieve the pain for me.

Beautiful, well made sandals.

Gorgeous caramel color. I have square, wide Flintstone feet with a high arch and high instep. It is almost impossible to find shoes that fit. The 8W fit perfectly. This is the most expensive pair of sandals I have purchased and they are worth it. The fit is fabulous. I could use even more arch support though. My number one complaint is they don’t offer any of the new beautiful colors like olive, red or blue in wide widths!!! Come on Taos, we wide footed women are sick of just basic. We want some color!

Love the look, then loved

Love the look, then loved the shoe when I got it. Beautiful leather, appears to be well made, extremely comfortable. I like that can be fitted to your foot via two different strap areas. This is especially important as I have a large bunion on my right foot. I can feel the arch support when I walk. I bought the black color and like it so much I also just bought it in the caramel color.

Great sandals for walking

I haven’t had a chance to really wear these outside yet but tried them around the house. This footbed works great for me and is the same footbed as a pair of sandals I bought last year, which I can wear and walk in for hours. I have a neutral arch, so the arch support works well for me. The size is also consistent and the leather is nice and soft.

Great shoe

I bought these shoes to take on an upcoming trip because sneakers make my feet too hot. I tried them out walking around for a day and was pleased at the comfort. I like that the straps are adjustable so they fit my narrow foot. I do wish they had a little more arch support.

10/10. Perfect for wearing all

10/10. Perfect for wearing all around UK to sightsee on my trip in late June during the hot weather (and at home in TX). Love these sandals. Had them on for all 4 days in London walking around the city and 1 of my days in Edinburgh for tea. Can’t say enough about these shoes and how they saved my feet from being too hot and had plenty of cushion to take care of my plantar fasciitis. No rubbing, no blisters, just perfect!!

Best Shoe Ever

IMO the best shoe ever is “The Show” by Taos! I have a half dozen pairs in multi-colors. So comfortable that I forget I’m wearing them even after eight plus hours of walking, and I have plantar fasciitis!

Love these sandals so much!

Absolutely love the style and color. The style is, well, more stylish than the usual nice leather sandal! It fit perfectly and adjusts easily with the" no see" velcro. The velcro straps are easy to manipulate, even with some arthritis to deal with. They are very, very comfortable are safe to wear; no foot slippage in sandal and no slippage on outside bottom of shoe. I am sometimes bothered by discomfort in the ball of my foot after standing on hard surfaces, so I plan to get simple cushions for that. Its not concern enough to make me not wear them though. In any event, I love these so much I wish I could get an ankle boot in that exact same Steel Grey color and comfort level! If it was also of a similar style to the sandal, that would be fabulous. It is just gorgeous!

So comfortable

These shoes are so comfortable! And cute! I bought them for a trip to Europe after reading many reviews and recommendations for walking miles a day on cobblestone and stairs. I’ve only gotten the chance to wear them to work so far but they are so comfortable and offer ample support for my high arches. I’m excited to wear them on my upcoming trip.

The Show

The Show are a comfortable Sandal right out of the box. This shoe does provide arch support which helps to maintain a comfortable wear throughout a ten+ hour day. Snug fit on foot meaning no sloppy sandals movement. Very good quality leather and workmanship of this sandal. I will be wearing these sandal for years.

I needed comfortable but sturdy and stable walking sandals. These sandals feel like walking on clouds right out of the box. They’re super comfortable, super adjustable for the perfect fit. I’m amazed. Sorry that I waited so long to try this brand!

Taos shoes are comfortable to

Taos shoes are comfortable to wear right out of the box. The arch support is just enough to provide support without being uncomfortable. Well made. Easily adjustable in two spots to create a perfect fit. Love these sandals.

Attractive sandles

These shoes are wide for my narrow foot so I have to adjust them as tight as I can. They also are a bit too long and I should probably have gone one size smaller. They do have very good, comfortable and soft arch support.

Beautiful but not for feet with bunions

It’s a beautiful style and the quality is excellent, just like all other Taos shoes I’ve tried on. Sadly, the front strips rubbed against my bunions so I had to return them. If you don’t have bunions these may work out for you.

Great!

Very comfortable! It's rare for new shoes to leave me blisterless but these definitely have been very comfortable in the first several hours of wear. I have really high arches and wish there was a tad more arch support but I am really happy with this purchase anyway.

Love the Show. The black

Love the Show. The black ones are my 2nd and latest pair. I have put many miles on my camel pair that I purchased last summer. I wear them year round in Texas. I have a high arch and instep. I wear a 7 medium width in the show and an 7 1/2 wide in tennis shoes.

First time Taos customer

Very pleased with this purchase. Very comfortable, from the first time I wore them. I really like the adjustable straps because I have arthritis, and sometimes my feet swell. My feet feel very supported when walking in these sandals.

So comfy

I wore these straight out of the box to a concert in the city - lots of walking, hours of standing and dancing, and no issues with my back or heel pain. Can't wait to get other sandals in other styles and colors!

I love this shoe! This is my second pair. The leather is so soft,. . . the arch gives me good support. . . and for those days when your feet are a bit swollen, the velcro straps are quickly adjustable for your comfort. I had a bad case of gout the other day, and these shoes were all I could wear that helped me walk with less pain.

All day comfort!

I needed a shoe in wide size and recieved these a few days ago. Wow! The footbed is so soft and cushy. It fits great and I love the carmel color. I've only worn them twice but the second time was for several hours. Walking, and up and down stairs. Lovely comfortable fit! I would buy this shoe in other colors!

Great Sandals

I’ve purchased many sandals that stretch out and lose shape after one season/ flip flops that trip me . These are well constructed, great arch support, and attractive. Possibly the most comfortable sandals I’ve worn. They are also perfect for a family member that has a prosthetic leg and foot. No slips!

Perfect support

So comfortable right out of the box. I like the adjustable straps with Velcro. A perfect fit every day even if my feet are swollen. Stylish and great looking. My only regret is that you were out of the other colors in my size. I would have bought an additional pair.

Beautiful Comfy Sandal

Quality beautiful sandal. Arch support is low-medium. Not like a Birkenstock arch but so far while walking around town, very comfy and my feet aren’t tired. My feet can breathe, too. I *may* size up 1/2 to a 9.5 as my toesies are almost to the tippy top.

Comfy - worth the investment!

Love these sandals! The leather is super soft and hugs my feet just right. The extra cushion on the back strap is a bonus. No blisters even after wearing them all day right out of the box! True to size. Casual, but still works well with slacks for work.
