I bought these as a potential option to wear on an upcoming trip, I got them in the black. I have ordered and tried on about 6 different things so far from other companies, and stumbled upon Taos on accident. I read about the arch support, which is part of what I'm looking for. I injured my ankle over the summer, on top of already having pretty bad plantar fasciitis, so I really need something that is not only comfortable, but offers stability. So far, I have only tried these on and walked around the office in them, but they are AMAZING. The foot bed is super comfortable, similar to Birkenstocks but not as stiff, but still supportive. The leather and the rubber trim on the bottom is very smooth and soft feeling. When I slipped my foot into the shoe it literally felt like the shoe was saying "welcome home", because they fit perfectly. I was excited for these before they arrived, but now I'm REALLY excited! I want them in Tan also!

Love The Winner!

I bought the Winner for my winter walking shoe. I have been using them for a couple of weeks now and I love them! The zip is so convenient. They look amazing and are super comfortable. They run just a tad big but would still consider them true to size. This is a plus for me because I will be wearing thick socks for the winter temps. In the spring I can tighten up the laces as well. These are well made and have great support. I have plantar fasciitis and can wear these all day long and my feet don't hurt at all. Highly recommend.

Classy and Comfy

I purchased the WINNER sneaker boots previously in black and I love them so much I purchased the caramel leather version. They are very comfortable with arch support and I can remove the insoles for my own custom orthotics as needed for my over pronation. TheWINNER is very stylish for jeans or skirts , I always get compliments at work and they are nice as a more mature alternative to sneakers when hanging out. The WINNER is built to last and I hope to purchase the Navy blue whenever the get back in stock.

So comfy and great with any outfit

Love these! I have narrow feet with high arches and had been getting foot pain prior to buying these. I just wore them 3 days in a row walking and standing on cement and no foot pain/soreness. So grateful. They are true to size length-wise, but may be too narrow for someone with a wide foot.

Cute and comfortable right out

Great shoes but the arch support is too high for me...

This is a different kind of review - I bought them for the high-top support while a broken ankle heals. They are beautifully made! They were initially great while I couldn't walk well or long, but now a week later when I stand or walk for more than 10 minutes my arches in both feet are really hurting because the insert is so high there (I have no other issues with my feet, so it's really just the high arch insert). For someone else this level of arch support might be great, but if I still can I would return the shoes at this point because I won't be able to use them for comfortable walking. I love Taos footwear and service, it's just that my particular feet with naturally high arches don't do well with high arch support, and when the insert is removed the shoes are too big. Sorry! They really are made beautifully though, and the side zipper was ideal for getting a very sore foot into the shoe - four stars for quality!

I love my high top

I love my high top zippered “Winner” style. This is my fifth pair of Taos leather sneaker styles and they are all extremely comfortable and supportive. They helped heal my plantar fasciitis and that was so important to me so I can be more active. I usually wear a size seven but I wear a seven and a half in these because I like more room in the toe box area.

Comfort, support & style!

I was looking for a supportive shoe for walking my dogs with a little ankle support for uneven surfaces. These are so comfortable, easy to slip on with the zippers, and keep my feet feeling comfortable all day long as I never want to take them off! As I have aged general foot pain from being on my feet has become more common and these are a great preventative for that!

Best shoes of my life. No kidding.

I have struggled with flat sore feet all my life. I have purchased hundred of shoes in my lifetime always looking for the ones that will work. Used custom orthotics. It turns out the ankle support in these comfortable, good looking shoes is the answer! Love the zipper, too.

Awesome shoes!

Taos shoes healed my plantar fasciitis. They are so sturdy and comfortable! Taos is my go-to brand when I am on my feet all day!

Magical relief

I don't get it. They look and feel like regular shoes, but somehow my plantar fasciitis has completely gone away! Love the zipper as I'm 8 months pregnant and it makes getting them on & off easier. Very durable, I've used them for mellow hikes and bike rides in addition to everyday. I have a slightly wide forefoot and this is more comfortable than the Union, which was a bit snug in width. I got the off-black color and it goes with everything. Wish they were a tiny bit lighter, but you can't have everything.

Best purchase of 2023

My absolute favorite shoes. Such good quality, such great style, and since they're leather they won't get beat up so much as better with age. Super comfortable, I can walk for hours without aggravating my plantar fasciitis. A teeny bit long for a size 8, but not enough to bother me. If I could replace all my shoes with Taos I would.

This is my second pair of Winner. Bought a pair of Caramel last year. It's a cross between a high top sneaker and a boot. I do find they run a little small so I size up from my regular size 20 to a size 11. They are comfortable and supportive for my foot issues, (plantar fasciitis), they look great with jeans.

Love This Shoe

Although the arch support isn’t enough for me I was able to easily remove the insoles and put in my orthotics and the shoes work great! I like the side zipper I only wish it was on the inside rather than the outside of the shoe. It’s taking me forever to find something that would work with my big orthotic.

As someone with peripheral neuropathy from a past stroke, I struggled to find a suitable everyday sneaker until I came across these "Winner" leather high tops. They ticked all the boxes for me! They are lightweight for walking, offer ankle support, and have a supportive footbed that gives me stability and confidence. Plus, I don't have to compromise on style.

Winner lives up to its name

I’ve been wearing these for a couple of weeks now, very comfortable. Minimal risk of blisters at first wear, while I put some plasters on the heal as a precaution, I did not get rubbing anywhere else like I always do. I wouldn’t say these are wide, I have very narrow feet and small ankle, I might have been able to go down a size by 0. 5 as they are a little roomier in the arches and heel but not enough to be uncomfortable. I have orthotics so the beautifully padded sole went out and the orthotics in, still comfy. They look great too. Love that I can set my laces where I want and slip in and out with the zips, great zip placement, foot never feels it. The white soles in the image look a little higher than it seems real-time. Very nice pair of shoes, I am walking small distances that would normally upset my feet, not in these. Would buy again and delivery was quick.

Game changer

I tore a tendon in my ankle and have had a long recovery. My podiatrist suggested that high top tennis shoes would be the best shoe for me. I bought these and found that he was so right. They have great arch support for my high arches, and at the same time great ankle stabilization. For me, they are a game changer, and allow me to walk in more comfort than I have in months. I normally wear an 8 1/2 M in tennis shoes, but after reading the reviews I bought an 8 and they fit perfectly. Love how you can adjust the laces, then just pop on and off using the zipper.

Love these high top sneakers!

I absolutely love the Winner high top sneakers! I have them in almost every color, and a few I have two pairs of each color. I have flat feet and they provide a great arch support and I can stand and walk in them all day long and my feet feel fine, along with the rest of my body too! They keep my body aligned!

I'm in love with these shoes. Super cute, amazing arch support, zip on, and fit great right out of the box. I've had foot surgery twice and I won't wear uncomfortable shoes anymore, but I also want them to look good!

super comfortable. i wear a 9. 5 but had to exchange for a 9. i usually take out insole and put in my orthotic, but not with this shoe. great support and super warm on cold Minnesota days

These are my new favorite

These are my new favorite shoes. I usually wear an 8. 5 or 9 and based on other reviews I sized down. The 8. 5 fit great. There is nice arch support without feeling too bulky. I have narrow feet and they feel snug. Wide feet might want to size up.

LOVE MY EDGY BOOTS

I am 45 and have been suffering with plantar fasciitis for 1 year and counting. I can only wear certain brands of shoes and this is one of them. I bought some cute boots last year from them, but they looked too dressy. I needed a more urban street style boot, but one that could still look a little dressy if needed. These are beautiful! The Slate grey color leather is gorgeous. I wear a size 8 and I ordered a size 8. They fit true to size. I can wear my compression socks with them as well. I wear these for hours on end and have no discomfort whatsoever. They're edgy and hip! And I love the grey because it goes with any color and is different then the typical black. They are constructed beautifully as all Taos are and worth the price

I love this shoes so much! I had hoped they could be walked around travel shoes but they don’t have enough arch support for my very high arches . I would have to go up and size and get wider shoes maybe to get additional inserts . But I wear these all the time doing errands but for traveling it’s still my ugly tennis shoes :(

Great shoe! I normally wear

Great shoe! I normally wear a 5.5US, but since they don’t make that small, I had to go up to a 6. Was worried at first they would be too long, but after wearing around the house a few days, I feel like they will be fine! Great arch support for my plantar.

These are very supportive and so cute! I have a high arch and these have a great arch support. I walked around town for hours with no problems.

Style and Comfort in a quality shoe

I have high arches and Taos has the best arch support of any shoes I’ve ever owned.

Perfect with a small modification

I had my eye on these shoes for months, and finally decided to purchase when we scheduled a vacation where we will be walking a LOT through several cities. I knew I needed good, supportive, comfy shoes for that. These are so cute on and can go with so many things. The first time I wore them, I just wore them to work (sitting most the day) and they were rubbing the outside of my pinky toes so bad. There was also rubbing on the inside. I do have wide-ish feet and thought that maybe these just weren't the shoe for me. I then had the idea to take the insole out. That thing is THICK! As soon as I took that out, instant relief from all of the pressure points. Plenty of space in there now. My feet are also thick from the arch to top of my foot, so I think with the thick insole, it was just too much. I put in a pair of thin Super Feet insoles I have and now these shoes are perfect!! So comfy and I am so glad I was able to make them work!

Highly Recommend

Finally, a stylish, affordable and comfy boot! Removable soles allows me to wear custom orthotic. Break them in first before you tackle that long hike or explore that metropolitan city. After few short errands the shoes has completely molded to my foot and I no longer have foot pain. Super stylish even with dresses. No regrets.

Very cute & comfy!

I absolutely love these Taos Winner high-tops. They’re incredibly comfortable right out of the box and, most importantly for me, they don’t aggravate my old peroneal tendon injury — which many sneakers do. The support feels stable without being stiff, and there’s no awkward pressure along the outer foot. I can wear them all day without thinking about my feet (which is the highest compliment I can give any shoe). Bonus: they’re genuinely cute. Comfort and style- rare win.

Right out of the box, these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever tried on! I had foot/ankle surgery last year and I’m replacing my whole shoe wardrobe with (preferably cute) orthopedic shoes - and these fit the bill PERFECTLY. I wore these for a full day and my feet barely ached after standing/walking for the whole day. The high top even overlaps the surgery area, which is more sensitive, but it was still extremely comfortable. Immediately ordering more styles!!

Expectations surpassed. Now my favorite brand!

What a quality product! My expectations were surpassed. Great fit, terrific inserts creating arch support and quality leather. I love the soles on this shoe as they are slightly thicker and create cushion and confort when walking. A bonus is that side zipper which makes them easy to get on and off. Plus so stylish and the look can work with shorts or skirts or pants. Even at my age I can have style and great function. Worth every penny spent!!!

The Winner is a winner!

My Winner high tops are beautiful. The leather is high quality and gorgeously tanned. Fit is true to size. Comfort level is a 4 rating only because the leather is a little stiff at first and even though I enjoy (and need) the supportive insoles, the shoes have a harder underfoot feeling than my athletic shoes give me. Still, these shoes have become one of my "Go to" shoes for Wisconsin spring.

Comfy and Sport looking sneaker shoes

PERFECT combo of comfort when you're trying to look sporty in jeans for the cooler months. Height is not too high and the zipper makes it very easy to get in/out of the shoes. Great shoe to wear for walking around, sporting events, touring, or just hanging out. The arch support is great, but that is always the case with Taos.

The name says it all!

Comfortable right out of the box. Super cute sneaker that looks great with jeans. The olive color is exactly what I was looking for. Good arch support too. Sizing is consistent with my standard shoe size. For reference I got a 7.5 but I normally wear an 8 in most sneakers. The side zipper is a plus. These are just perfect!

Comfortable and works with my narrow heel/ wider toes.

Very comfortable with great arch support. I also have a skinny foot, and These shoes worked for me because I could tighten the laces. My feet feel secure, but I still have plenty of toe room. I normally have problems with shoes slipping on my heel while cramping my toes, but not with these! Love!!!!

Upgraded my Casual Sneaker Style!

Taos has quickly become my favorite shoe brand! Exceptional quality and great arch support. No need for a special insert with these. Love the ease of a zipper without losing the classic look of laces. Fantastic design and comfort! Runs true to size.

Fabulous - buy them

By far these are the best tennis shoes I’ve ever worn. I have two pairs and I think I need a third. You can’t beat the comfort. I can wear these waking all day. I wear them on my motorcycle. Just can’t be beat! True to size. Great arch support.

Versatile walking shoe

I bought these shoes for my travels to Australia. They are so comfortable, great arch support, and stylish to boot! They are comfortable all day as light trail hikers and hitting the city streets.

This seems to be a nicely made shoe, although I think it runs slightly long and narrow. I am usually a size 8.5, but I went down to an 8 because it was just a bit too long and I didn’t want to be tripping over it. Without socks, or a very thin ped, I can get away with its narrower width since this is not a shoe that I would wear with socks anyway. They are cute and I decided to keep them. I love the mid-foot support in Taos brand and appreciate their removable insets so you can use your own orthotic if you choose.

Shhh - don't tell my husband this is my 5th pair.

Love the thicker sole on these shoes! My friends are soooo jealous of these sneakers. This is my 5th pair of Taos sneakers (shhhh- don't tell my husband) and I couldn't be happier. My feet are slightly wide so I ordered up but found that I didn't need too. I also have a super high arch/instep and these worked great for me. My only disappoint is that I had to return the caramel covered larger shoe and when I ordered my right size that color was completely sold out.

Flat feet approved!

These are my first pair of Taos. I have flat feet and needed stylish shoes with great support. These shoes are comfy and I’ve received so many compliments, definitely getting more styles.

Comfort, support, style

These offer arch support, super comfort, and style. They look great with jeans or leggings. I could adjust the laces to have the front part of the shoe wider, and the lace-up style ensures the shoe doesn't move around on my foot. The side zipper allows the shoes to pop off and on. I've only had these a week, but so far, quality seems excellent. This is the 3rd pair of Taos I own.
