I was happily surprised with these shoes. I am going to Paris for a vacation and wanted to wear a nice pair of shoes but needed to be sure they were comfortable for walking. I suffered from a severe case of plantar fasciitis last summer and don’t ever want to go through that again. I have quite a high arch, and have to be careful of the footwear I choose now. I swapped out the insole for my orthotics and felt the shoes were no different with my orthotic…. Meaning that they offer ample arch support on their own! AMAZING!! I am thrilled to have a stylish shoe that I can wear for 25,000 steps per day without the fear of developing plantar fasciitis again!

Great shoe

Love love love Taos shoes in general. The support for my plantar fasciitis is amazing! No foot pain no matter how long I am on my feet! I have wanted a pair of white sneakers and knew the only place to look is Taos! Thank you for making the most comfortable shoes! I have narrow feet and have no issues with the heel slipping. Length is true to size. They stayed tied.

Comfy out of the box!

The arch support in these shoes is the bomb!! They are comfy for long periods of walking straight out of the box. I have a bunion and plantar fasciitis and the 9W fits great with no pain. Highly recommend!

I have hammer toes, bunions, and plantar fasciitis so my feet always hurt. I purchased a 1/2 size larger and wide width. I have worn these all day touring without blisters or painful bunions!! I ordered leather to keep my feet dry while in Alaska this summer. I am thrilled with these shoes! Well worth the price.

Pleased with these

Love the clean look of these comfortable white leather sneakers. It is a little step up from more casual canvas sneakers. Very versatile for the wardrobe. As far as the fit goes- I got my usual size 9 and I am happy with this. My toe does slide forward and touch the front of the shoe a bit, but it is not uncomfortable. I would think a 9.5 would be a bit too big. I usually wear normal width shoes even though my foot is slightly wider at the ball of the foot area and these are comfortable. Definitely high quality sneakers! The arch support is good for my high arches. I recommend them for others.

My first pair of Taos

My first pair of Taos and I am so happy with them!! I can stand and walk in all day comfort, they are super cute, and they match everything: jogger sweatpants, wide leg khaki, crop jeans, sharp slacks. These would be perfect for a travel weekend, can go everywhere and with everything in comfort. Thank you for making these!! Finding the right shoe is so hard, my feet run narrow with high arch and a very mild bunion, these work very well for me. I researched a lot, they are pricey. Sizing was a bit confusing, the EU size chart did not line up with my US size; for me the US size ran true to other US size sneakers.

Super Comfortable AND Cute!

This is the first pair of white leather sneakers that not only feel amazing, but also look great too! With a size 10. 5, it's not easy to find white sneakers that are flattering, but these are. I am also prone to plantar fasciitis if I don't wear supportive sneakers, and these are absolutely comfortable and supportive all day! Highly recommend!

Love these sneakers. I have wide feet, so I had to go up a size as the width of the shoe was a bit narrow for me. But the one size up was great. It was nice not having to replace the original shoe insert with a new one as the original one provides support for my plantar fasciitis.

In love with these shoes, great arch support (don't even need my inserts BUT plenty of space for them and easily removable one that comes with shoe if needed). I have a bunion and I don't even feel it with these sneakers!! First day walked all day while exploring Charleston and my feet never bothered me!! No breaking-in needed! They are super comfortable, cute, good quality all leather. I will be getting another pair in black!

These are the finest-made, most comfortable tennis shoes I have come across in a long long time. Great arch support. The soft white leather is beautiful and so comfortable. I have neuropathy from chemotherapy and on top of that, super wide feet, and hardly ANY women's shoes ever fit me. I'm so sick of resorting to wearing men's shoes. These are so worth every penny! Will buy again and again.

Threw out my old shoes due to heel pain

I recently had to throw out all my old shoes due to newly diagnosed plantar fasciitis that by the time I realized what it was required a cortisone injection. These shoes are very supportive and comfortable!

Nice looking, but wish they had EXTRA wide

Very nice, feminine tennis shoe. Unfortunately, wide was not wide enough nor tall enough in the toebox to accommodate my bunion. I have narrow heels, so they slipped on my heels. The tongue area was one lace eyelet too long causing the overall fit a little too snug for me even with the laces loosened. Exchanged to a half size longer hoping that would move the stitching away from rubbing my bunion; it didn't and the arch support fit better in my normal size. Got a refund. Wish Taos made the Plum Soul Lux, leather and the canvas, shoes in an EXTRA wide, because they have one of the classiest looking, non-athletic tennis shoes I've tried.

Taos shoes are my favorite tennis shoes. I have narrow feet with high arches. The fit wonderfully. I am on my feet all day long and they provide great support.

Save your feet, Look cool doing it!

I’m writing this as the owner of 7 pairs of Taos shoes. The petrol blue plim soul lux were the OG. I was beginning to believe plantar fasciitis was a permanent reality. Nope. 6 months, and several additional pairs, later, I’m nearly 100% recovered. Just hiked a mountain yesterday, I wear Obos hiking and Brooks/Sayshe for walking, and Taos for ALL other. I realized the key was to put the sneakers on after activity and keep them on… as my foot recovered, rested, it was held in the right shape. Thank you Taos! I love all my shoes, but the blue lux are my favorite for sure! I’m on my feet many days and my feet are NEVER tired after. Worth. Every. Penny.

Cute white sneaks

Most aggressively supportive insole ever! Still might change it out for my prescription orthotics (my arches are that high), but I appreciate the effort and thought that went into such supportive insoles! Also RELIEVED and delighted that you sell these sneakers in wide sizes for women. SO CHALLENGING to find stylish and comfortable shoes in wide sizes. Thanks, and I'll be back.

Cute, comfy, stylish

Love the style of these - the plimsol look adds height and interest and gives the shoe more structure. If you're used to wearing wool or soft fabric shoes, it might take a bit of adjustment as it feels more shoe-like. The fit is perfect and the leather is soft and flexible. My only wish is that the toe box was slightly higher - just a wee bit of headroom in the toe area would have helped. For that reason, for my feet, these needed a bit more of a breaking-in period than most Taos shoes. The arch and metarasal support of Taos shoes are unrivaled, in my opinion, and have made this brand my go-to for cute, stylish comfortable shoes. I happen to love the classic cap-toe look of the classic Keds / Converse sneakers and hope your designers will consider rolling out something like that in the near future!

Looking good

They are true to size. Very stylish. I bought the white for my Europe trip, a size nine. They did not have Wide in an 9 and I was worried because my foot is on the wider side. Yet they fit just fine. I plan to wear them with skirts and dresses so I don’t have to wear sandals all of the time. I wore them through the house on the first day to see if they were comfortable. They appear comfy with a good support on my planter and arch. I’m yet to find out how they do in Europe and how the leather holds out. So far I would recommend.

Classic and Comfortable for wide feet.

So much better than your average sneakers. I have a wide foot, nearing D width and the wide width is fabulous. What even more amazing is the arch support and cushion of the insole. It was as if I had these shoes custom made for me without the custom price. High quality shoes that I keep coming back to after having bought three pair in a couple of different colors and styles. Way to go Taos, for bringing in a fit for the teacher who’s on her feet most of the day and wants to “not” feel feet fatigue at end of 8 hours.

Great show for foot pain

I had to exchange for larger size. Easy process! I have plantar fasciitis and I can wear these for several hours with no pain. Great shoe!

Comfortable and looks cute

This shoe is so cute and comfortable. I originally purchased the standard width, which seemed fine, but after wearing them a lit bit around the house, my Morton's Neuroma started acting up. I exchanged them for the wide and I'm so happy with them. The return was easy. I've been wearing the 8W on walks and my feet don't hurt. I think I've just been in denial about needing a wider shoe. Love these shoes.

Style and quality are top

Style and quality are top notch and lots of arch support but this shoe runs short. I got the 9W since I have bunions and also tried the 9.5 m and went with the 9 w and the toe box is plenty roomy. Maybe should have gone a size up. My toes feel like they hit the end especially when I wear thicker Sox. Love the look but a bit disappointed in the fit. Will definitely try another style and size up.

I am traveling to Italy

I am traveling to Italy Summer 2024 and need a pair of white sneakers that are both fashionable and comfortable for a mid 50's woman. These feel great right out of the box! Wore them already and they are super comfy without any blisters. I have plantar's fasciitis and these are the only sneakers I wear currently. Looking forward to walking many miles in these shoes!

Comfortable

I have a high arch and wide toe box. The insole is supportive and comfortable. The toe box is generous and roomy enough for me. I recently bought a similar style of Adidas. TheTaos feel more supportive & comfier.

These shoes felt great right

These shoes felt great right out of the box. I am on my feet all day working with special needs students. I need shoes that are comfortable and secure so I can move quickly. I have had no problem with them. The leather is high quality, and I feel it will hold up for a long time. Thank you!

Love these shoes!

Excellent quality. Great fit. Super comfortable with outstanding arch support. The special Taos removable insoles support my feet and add to the overall comfort of the shoe. I am so pleased with these shoes, I purchased them in white and blush pink. Thinking about getting black, too.

Supportive and cute

Very comfortable and good looking casual but nice looking sneaker. They look similar to others that I had, but the great arch support means I don't end up with hip and knee pain after standing in them for hours. They seem a tiny bit wider through the tow than my canvas Plim Souls.

Cute sneakers with great arch support. Most shoes of this style have a flat insole with no support making them uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. These shoes are very comfortable to wear all day! True to size, stylish shoes with excellent support!

Super comfy

These are super comfortable, roomy enough in the toe bed, great arch support and nicely cushy. Something about the balance in the style that is more flattering than other white sneakers I’ve had. They make my feet look smaller. Run true to size.

Perfectly white shoe

Great shoes! Soft leather, beautiful white color, great arch support. I wear a 7.5, normal width and they run true to size. If you prefer a looser fit or have a wide foot these may be snug so order the wide option.

Fashion & Comfort

Extremely comfortable right out of the box for my (casual attire) work conference. Wonderd arch support and fit my narrow heels well. Did not slip on heels. Will buy again!

Comfortable shoes!

I specifically purchased this shoe for a 10 day Caribbean cruise. I have flat feet along with hip and back pain. This shoe did not disappoint! Not only is is it well made, it is comfortable. I walked for hours in them. I am so pleased and will definitely buy again!

Cute shoe

I have a bunion on one foot and hallux ridgidus on the other. A wide toe box is best for me. I tried the wide first but it was extremely wide and gapped with every step. The medium width fits better but is not comfortable for all day wear. They are good for a couple hours.

White tennis shoes

Love these shoes, comfortable from the start. Wore them at home the first day to check them out and they were great. I’ve had foot surgery and need a good arch support and these fit the bill. So cute too.

I ordered the 7. 5 wide,

I ordered the 7. 5 wide, which is usually the correct size. Had to order up to a 8 wide as the 7. 5 was too narrow/ short. Had a nice high arch support. I will review the size 8 one I receive them.

I have a high arch and it's unusual to me to find a good looking sneaker that provides this level of support. Super comfortable. Would recommend.

Great fit

Fits my feet perfectly. The arch support is great and I can wear them all day and no sore feet or leg cramps.

Good shoes with some caveats

These are quality shoes, the leather is nice, but I want to warn folks that the footbed is quite stiff as well as the leather and contrary to other reviews these shoes do need to be broken in. The heel of the insert is also quite high so the heel feels a bit shallow. As others have said I needed to order a half size up and the wide version for my regular width feet to be comfortable. I did end up purchasing other inserts for casual walks as i like a little more cushion, but the included inserts still work well for longer walks and i think they will improve as they get broken in.

Great shoe!

I bought these shoes to take on vacation to Europe. I liked that the leather gave them a "dressier" look. The shoes have great arch support. They were stiff when I first received them but they broke in well and were very comfortable. I wore them for city walks and casual (not intense) rural walks. My only complaint is that the heel of the shoe feels like it rides low on my heel. I got used to it and it ended up not bothering me as much as I thought it would. I ordered my normal size, 9 wide, and the fit was perfect.

Worth every penny!

I have bought and returned too many pairs, searching for the perfect white leather sneaker! This is the one! You don’t know how much you are missing good arch support until you find it. Runs about a half size short, so if you’re in between, I’d say order up. These sneakers are super high quality and worth every penny.

Great shoe!

Great fit, comfortable footbed with perfect arch support, nice looking shoe. I can walk all day in them….no blisters either that often comes with a new pair of shoes. Worth every penny!

I had the style in canvas and loved them. The leather ones are great too. I have a narrow foot but can wear these comfortably. Arch support is great.

super cute, very soft the only thing is that I have bunions and the shoelace hole bother, but I cover the bunion and it feel fine. overall very good shoes.

Super cute! Really like these shoes. Not totally comfortable due to my high arches, otherwise I would love them. I had to unlace the top hole in order to give the tongue some flexibility. Before that it was cutting into the top of my ankle (maybe the tongue is actually too long/stiff for my foot). I wear an 8-8. 5 depending on the shoe, and needed an 8. 5 in these due to length. The wide sizing is perfect. I treated with a leather protective and they have stayed very white despite a lot of use. On a recent trip to Europe with 20k steps days, I alternated them with my Hokas, and they were equally comfortable.

Love these!

I was looking for white leather sneakers with good foot support and easy to keep clean. These fit the bill! I have high arches, and they give great support as well as support for the toes. I love that they don't make your feet look "fat". I feel the medium is a bit wide, but I am able to tighten the laces to get a good fit- this also caused some blister issues so they may need some breaking in. In other brands, I wear a 6-6. 5 but wear a 7 in the Taos. Overall, i love them and a fan of Taos!
