I was happily surprised with these shoes. I am going to Paris for a vacation and wanted to wear a nice pair of shoes but needed to be sure they were comfortable for walking. I suffered from a severe case of plantar fasciitis last summer and don’t ever want to go through that again. I have quite a high arch, and have to be careful of the footwear I choose now. I swapped out the insole for my orthotics and felt the shoes were no different with my orthotic…. Meaning that they offer ample arch support on their own! AMAZING!! I am thrilled to have a stylish shoe that I can wear for 25,000 steps per day without the fear of developing plantar fasciitis again!

Love these! Excellent support for high arches

Love my Plim Soul Lux! I have wide feed and high arches. I went through months of PT to get my feet back to normal and walking without a limp or pain (plantar fasciitis, fracture and fascia tear injury). I purchased the Plim soul canvas style first and loved them but the color faded or stained easier. These however can be wiped clean and look great after months of daily wear. I love the support, don't even need my orthotics in these. There was almost no break-in period which is unusual for me with my wide feed. Theses are are my every day shoe outside of work. I can wear them all day doing house/barn chores and have no foot pain. Worth every penny! Wish I could afford more colors!

I have very wide feet,

I have very wide feet, high arches, and have had plantar fasciitis fasciitis so a shoe with a wide toe box, arch support and a comfortable insole is very important. I bought these for a vacation to Europe where I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking and also wanted something other than an athletic shoe. These shoes checked all the boxes! While I didn’t wear them on my 25,000 step days, I did wear them on days where I walked 10,000 + steps and my feet were never in pain. They looked cute with my outfits and gave my feet the support and room for toe wiggling they needed. These shoes are worth the money for anyone who suffers foot issues and is looking for a cute supportive comfortable shoe.

First Taos are perfect

I have difficulty finding comfortable shoes due to several foot issues; wide feet, plantar fasciitis, high arch. I tried Taos for the first time, and I love them. Very high-quality shoe with plenty of room in the toe box and arch support is perfect. I look forward to wearing on my next trip.

Nothing better, period.

I had painful plantar fasciitis for almost a year that nearly stopped me from walking altogether. A good PT recommended I try these and I cannot endorse them higher. I have two pairs of the Plim soles (black and caramel) and wear them nearly every day. Yes they really do make a huge difference. I also have bunions, and high arches. One foot is a little bit wide and one foot measures a tiny bit narrow. It can be hard to find shoes that fit well! I am currently shopping for a pair of their sandals to wear this summer. And I’m also getting the insole inserts to put into my house shoes. Worth every penny and then some!

Wonderful sneakers!

I normally wear an 8, but I ordered an 8. 5 to be on the safe side, and they fit great! I need a wide toe box and a good arch support for my bad feet, and these fit the bill. I currently have a ligament injury in my foot and need a supportive shoe. These are so comfortable that I wore them all day from day one without pain. I was concerned about other's complaints of heel slippage due to a thick insole and stiffness of the leather causing a difficult break-in period, but mine felt broken in within the first hour of wear, and the heel doesn't slip when I tie the laces securely. And I would imagine that the insole will compress over time, so this should not keep you from buying these wonderful shoes. And the leather is a thick, high quality leather that will likely outlast all my other sneakers. They were worth every penny!

Best shoes I’ve had. I had begun suffering from plantar fasciitis and terrible foot pain. I love these shoes! They are super comfortable with amazing arch support. I am a 7. 5 shoe size and they fit perfectly for me.

Because I’m getting over a bout of Plantar fasciitis, I was looking for good arch support in a pair of dressy black leather sneakers. I loved the look of these. But right out of the box they weren’t quite comfortable through the instep. A friend suggested I try elastic laces with them to provide more give and it was a good idea! Once I put in the elastic laces I’ve hardly stopped wearing them.

I have hammer toes, bunions,

I have hammer toes, bunions, and plantar fasciitis so my feet always hurt. I purchased a 1/2 size larger and wide width. I have worn these all day touring without blisters or painful bunions!! I ordered leather to keep my feet dry while in Alaska this summer. I am thrilled with these shoes! Well worth the price.

My first pair of Taos

My first pair of Taos and I am so happy with them!! I can stand and walk in all day comfort, they are super cute, and they match everything: jogger sweatpants, wide leg khaki, crop jeans, sharp slacks. These would be perfect for a travel weekend, can go everywhere and with everything in comfort. Thank you for making these!! Finding the right shoe is so hard, my feet run narrow with high arch and a very mild bunion, these work very well for me. I researched a lot, they are pricey. Sizing was a bit confusing, the EU size chart did not line up with my US size; for me the US size ran true to other US size sneakers.

Love these sneakers. I have wide feet, so I had to go up a size as the width of the shoe was a bit narrow for me. But the one size up was great. It was nice not having to replace the original shoe insert with a new one as the original one provides support for my plantar fasciitis.

I really love these shoes!

I really love these shoes! The tan color is beautiful. They’re very well made, and they’re soooo comfortable! I usually wear orthotics to support my very high arches and this is one of the few shoes I’ve had where I don’t feel I need them. I got wide width, mostly for my high instep, and they’re perfect. These will be my go to shoes for a casual look that’s a step up from regular sneakers.

I love Tao’s Plin Soul

I love Tao’s Plin Soul Lux shoes I have 3 pairs of them and a 4th pair on order. They are very well made and comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and Tao’s shoes have great arch support.

Comfortable fit, snappy look

Because of arch support I can wear these shoes all day without causing flare up of plantar fasciitis. Plus they have a snappy look.

Most comfortable and attractive shoes!

Having wide feet with a number of issues, I struggle to find shoes that fit me right, feel supportive, and look good. TAOS's Prim Soul Lux in wide width have been a lifesaver because they are the most comfortable shoes I own (beating on comfort even sneakers). The insoles are very supportive, the shoes are lightweight, and they are the most gorgeous camel color too. I wear this particular pair year round. They are made of high quality leather that only looks better with wear. I love them so much that I bought another pair of the same shoe just to have a replacement when I have worn out the first pair. As for for, I felt they ran a bit too short, so I sized up to give more space to toes.

These are my favorite shoes ever. I have bad feet with high arches. Planter fasciitis has always been an issue. I am a elementary teacher, so I need a comfortable shoe that I can wear with anything, these are my go to! Since switching to these, I have had no foot pain whatsoever. It took a minute to break them in, but that is because they are so well made. I now own several pairs!

Save your feet, Look cool doing it!

I’m writing this as the owner of 7 pairs of Taos shoes. The petrol blue plim soul lux were the OG. I was beginning to believe plantar fasciitis was a permanent reality. Nope. 6 months, and several additional pairs, later, I’m nearly 100% recovered. Just hiked a mountain yesterday, I wear Obos hiking and Brooks/Sayshe for walking, and Taos for ALL other. I realized the key was to put the sneakers on after activity and keep them on… as my foot recovered, rested, it was held in the right shape. Thank you Taos! I love all my shoes, but the blue lux are my favorite for sure! I’m on my feet many days and my feet are NEVER tired after. Worth. Every. Penny.

Love these leather sneakers!

No break in period, comfy out of the box with the Taos foot bed! I think this is my seventh pair and they do not disappoint! Casual to dressy casual they fit the bill, look and feel great! Highly recommend. I previously had plantar fasciitis and a severely twisted ankle. But after wearing these leather sneakers for a few years, I do not have pain or issues anymore.

My second pair

These are so comfy for long days on my feet. I am so happy with the first pair I got in black in size 8. 5 for my daily life where I don’t need to wear socks. We’re going to Paris in November and it will be cold so I needed a pair to accommodate socks. I went up half a size and got red for fun - they fit perfectly with socks and will complement my normal everyday wardrobe which is mostly black and white. I’m thinking of a third pair in the luggage color. The leather on these shoes is beautiful and long wearing and the insoles a real dream. I have Morton’s Neuroma and the support is fantastic. Don’t hesitate to buy these!!!

Love my new kicks!

When I lead Boston Chinatown Tours, it's important that I have comfortable and supportive shoes. These needed no "breaking in" and were comfortable straight out of the box. The color is great for this purpose, too as red is lucky. I have a fairly narrow foot and heel, high arch. It's not a given that shoes will fit this well. These are my second pair of Taos and I'm happy.

half size up due to a little short

Love them! Exactly what I was looking for! So cute and goes with everything! I have a wide flat foot with metatarsalgia and bunions and have to get a wide. These did run a little short so half sized up. I don’t even been my shoe inserts bc these have a good arch support. Soo happy about my purchase.

Best Sneakers I’ve ever worn!

The best sneakers I have ever owned. I have flat feet and needed comfortable shoes for a trip to Europe. I absolutely loved the arch support and my feet didn’t hurt after long days of walking and sightseeing.

Annoyed by process but love the shoes

The process of ordering and receiving these shoes irritated me. Paying to have the right to return something just seems wrong. I understand that there are unfortunately people who take advantage of a free return policy, but I as an alternative I would be happy to pay the shipping for my return if I decided to return something. Paying well over $100 without free shipping annoyed me, but whatever. But paying for shipping, I expected them to come faster. The whole process just left me feeling like I didn’t matter at all to this company. But I have to say, it was worth it. I need shoes for over pronation and plantar fasciitis. These fit the bill and they’re adorable. They seem very high quality, so I have high hopes that they will last. Most PF shoes are very squishy, so I was a little nervous when I tried these on and they were harder. But my heels feel great in them. The only thing to note is that the ankle cushions, while comfortable, do make it hard to keep low socks on. If these shoes last, I will definitively subject myself to this purchase process again!

These are wonderful on my

These are wonderful on my feet! I have had plantar fasciitis with right foot and tendinitis with left one at the same time. My husband gave me the clogs for Christmas. They were on sale and I wanted to see if they worked before I ordered the Pim Soul Lux leather tennies. I LOVE, LOVE the camel colored ones and have worn them around the house for now. Weather here is icy and snowy and don’t want to wear them outside yet!

Cute sneakers with great arch support. Most shoes of this style have a flat insole with no support making them uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. These shoes are very comfortable to wear all day! True to size, stylish shoes with excellent support!

Extremely comfortable right out of the box for my (casual attire) work conference. Wonderd arch support and fit my narrow heels well. Did not slip on heels. Will buy again!

Exceptional Shoe

I have a bunion on one foot and hallux ridgidus on the other. A wide toe box is best for me. I tried the wide first but it was extremely wide and gapped with every step. The medium width fits better but is not comfortable for all day wear. They are good for a couple hours.

I ordered the 7. 5 wide,

I ordered the 7. 5 wide, which is usually the correct size. Had to order up to a 8 wide as the 7. 5 was too narrow/ short. Had a nice high arch support. I will review the size 8 one I receive them.

Good shoes with some caveats

These are quality shoes, the leather is nice, but I want to warn folks that the footbed is quite stiff as well as the leather and contrary to other reviews these shoes do need to be broken in. The heel of the insert is also quite high so the heel feels a bit shallow. As others have said I needed to order a half size up and the wide version for my regular width feet to be comfortable. I did end up purchasing other inserts for casual walks as i like a little more cushion, but the included inserts still work well for longer walks and i think they will improve as they get broken in.

Very comfortable, excellent fit and arch support. I’ll enjoy wearing these for long standing and walking. Not a hiking shoe, but great for walking/standing.

Teachers rejoice!

I had brutal plantar fasciitis, and I was coming home from teaching and having to put my feet up. Another teacher said that Taos shoes had really helped. I'm a convert. Plim Souls are a staple of my teaching wardrobe. Oh, did I mention that when I went on vacation this summer I walked almost 90 miles in two weeks wearing these shoes? The Lux starts out a little stiff, but they are softening up nicely, and look just a bit more professional.

I wear an orthotic in my shoes due to a high arch. I don't need it in this shoe because it has a good arch to begin with.

Love these!

I was looking for white leather sneakers with good foot support and easy to keep clean. These fit the bill! I have high arches, and they give great support as well as support for the toes. I love that they don't make your feet look "fat". I feel the medium is a bit wide, but I am able to tighten the laces to get a good fit- this also caused some blister issues so they may need some breaking in. In other brands, I wear a 6-6. 5 but wear a 7 in the Taos. Overall, i love them and a fan of Taos!

Love my purchase

I’m very impressed with my new sneakers. I have high arches and these are perfect. They also stabilize my foot in the shoe. I also like the flexibility of the soul of the shoe. I was concerned my foot would not bend and flex like a gym sneaker, but this is not the case. I bought these for European travel as I wanted one main walking shoe that was comfortable, supportive and didn’t look like a gym shoe. I think these will do nicely. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Amazing comfort for such a cute sneaker

I absolutely love these sneakers! I have major foot issues, several surgeries, etc. I normally have to wear bulky running shoes with specialized orthotics if I’m going to be doing any walking. I wore these sneakers to Manhattan and walked all day with no problems! I will say I needed to size up a half a size. Would highly recommend these. ❤️

Fantastic sneakers. The most comfortable

Fantastic sneakers. The most comfortable and supportive I’ve ever owned. As someone who suffers from bunions, callouses and fallen arches, this has been the only sneaker that has provided me ultimate comfort for hours. If you’re on the fence about getting them, I’m here to tell you to go for it, you won’t be disappointed.

My winter shoe

I have a canvas pair of Plim Soul Lux and absolutely love them. So having another leather pair for our fall, winters, and cold springs was my next purchase. I love the support and comfort, since I have arthritis and a couple of other pain issues with my feet. Thumbs up for Taos!

Support I need-- finally!

This is my second pair of Taos leather sneakers. These take me a few wears the break in, they're a little stiff at first. Once they're broken in they feel so soft and comfy. I have plantar fascitis and these give me the support I need to get through the day without aching feet!

Finallly, a cute, white shoe that I can wear as someone with wide feet that needs support. I often opt for orthotic shoes only and I'm sick of how ugly they can be. These are exactly what I've wanted for a long time but have support and a wide enough toe box for my foot.

I love them! I’ve been looking for a cute white sneaker that didn’t flare up any foot pain, and these have been the best. The insoles are super high quality. Would definitely recommend.
