I bought these as a potential option to wear on an upcoming trip, I got them in the black. I have ordered and tried on about 6 different things so far from other companies, and stumbled upon Taos on accident. I read about the arch support, which is part of what I'm looking for. I injured my ankle over the summer, on top of already having pretty bad plantar fasciitis, so I really need something that is not only comfortable, but offers stability. So far, I have only tried these on and walked around the office in them, but they are AMAZING. The foot bed is super comfortable, similar to Birkenstocks but not as stiff, but still supportive. The leather and the rubber trim on the bottom is very smooth and soft feeling. When I slipped my foot into the shoe it literally felt like the shoe was saying "welcome home", because they fit perfectly. I was excited for these before they arrived, but now I'm REALLY excited! I want them in Tan also!

Comfort, support & style!

I was looking for a supportive shoe for walking my dogs with a little ankle support for uneven surfaces. These are so comfortable, easy to slip on with the zippers, and keep my feet feeling comfortable all day long as I never want to take them off! As I have aged general foot pain from being on my feet has become more common and these are a great preventative for that!

Magical relief

I don't get it. They look and feel like regular shoes, but somehow my plantar fasciitis has completely gone away! Love the zipper as I'm 8 months pregnant and it makes getting them on & off easier. Very durable, I've used them for mellow hikes and bike rides in addition to everyday. I have a slightly wide forefoot and this is more comfortable than the Union, which was a bit snug in width. I got the off-black color and it goes with everything. Wish they were a tiny bit lighter, but you can't have everything.

Best purchase of 2023

My absolute favorite shoes. Such good quality, such great style, and since they're leather they won't get beat up so much as better with age. Super comfortable, I can walk for hours without aggravating my plantar fasciitis. A teeny bit long for a size 8, but not enough to bother me. If I could replace all my shoes with Taos I would.

As someone with peripheral neuropathy from a past stroke, I struggled to find a suitable everyday sneaker until I came across these "Winner" leather high tops. They ticked all the boxes for me! They are lightweight for walking, offer ankle support, and have a supportive footbed that gives me stability and confidence. Plus, I don't have to compromise on style.

Winner lives up to its name

I’ve been wearing these for a couple of weeks now, very comfortable. Minimal risk of blisters at first wear, while I put some plasters on the heal as a precaution, I did not get rubbing anywhere else like I always do. I wouldn’t say these are wide, I have very narrow feet and small ankle, I might have been able to go down a size by 0. 5 as they are a little roomier in the arches and heel but not enough to be uncomfortable. I have orthotics so the beautifully padded sole went out and the orthotics in, still comfy. They look great too. Love that I can set my laces where I want and slip in and out with the zips, great zip placement, foot never feels it. The white soles in the image look a little higher than it seems real-time. Very nice pair of shoes, I am walking small distances that would normally upset my feet, not in these. Would buy again and delivery was quick.

Game changer

I tore a tendon in my ankle and have had a long recovery. My podiatrist suggested that high top tennis shoes would be the best shoe for me. I bought these and found that he was so right. They have great arch support for my high arches, and at the same time great ankle stabilization. For me, they are a game changer, and allow me to walk in more comfort than I have in months. I normally wear an 8 1/2 M in tennis shoes, but after reading the reviews I bought an 8 and they fit perfectly. Love how you can adjust the laces, then just pop on and off using the zipper.

Love these high top sneakers!

I absolutely love the Winner high top sneakers! I have them in almost every color, and a few I have two pairs of each color. I have flat feet and they provide a great arch support and I can stand and walk in them all day long and my feet feel fine, along with the rest of my body too! They keep my body aligned!

super comfortable. i wear a 9. 5 but had to exchange for a 9. i usually take out insole and put in my orthotic, but not with this shoe. great support and super warm on cold Minnesota days

LOVE MY EDGY BOOTS

I am 45 and have been suffering with plantar fasciitis for 1 year and counting. I can only wear certain brands of shoes and this is one of them. I bought some cute boots last year from them, but they looked too dressy. I needed a more urban street style boot, but one that could still look a little dressy if needed. These are beautiful! The Slate grey color leather is gorgeous. I wear a size 8 and I ordered a size 8. They fit true to size. I can wear my compression socks with them as well. I wear these for hours on end and have no discomfort whatsoever. They're edgy and hip! And I love the grey because it goes with any color and is different then the typical black. They are constructed beautifully as all Taos are and worth the price

Great shoe! I normally wear

Great shoe! I normally wear a 5.5US, but since they don’t make that small, I had to go up to a 6. Was worried at first they would be too long, but after wearing around the house a few days, I feel like they will be fine! Great arch support for my plantar.

Style and Comfort in a quality shoe

I have high arches and Taos has the best arch support of any shoes I’ve ever owned.

Perfect with a small modification

I had my eye on these shoes for months, and finally decided to purchase when we scheduled a vacation where we will be walking a LOT through several cities. I knew I needed good, supportive, comfy shoes for that. These are so cute on and can go with so many things. The first time I wore them, I just wore them to work (sitting most the day) and they were rubbing the outside of my pinky toes so bad. There was also rubbing on the inside. I do have wide-ish feet and thought that maybe these just weren't the shoe for me. I then had the idea to take the insole out. That thing is THICK! As soon as I took that out, instant relief from all of the pressure points. Plenty of space in there now. My feet are also thick from the arch to top of my foot, so I think with the thick insole, it was just too much. I put in a pair of thin Super Feet insoles I have and now these shoes are perfect!! So comfy and I am so glad I was able to make them work!

Highly Recommend

Finally, a stylish, affordable and comfy boot! Removable soles allows me to wear custom orthotic. Break them in first before you tackle that long hike or explore that metropolitan city. After few short errands the shoes has completely molded to my foot and I no longer have foot pain. Super stylish even with dresses. No regrets.

Very cute & comfy!

I absolutely love these Taos Winner high-tops. They’re incredibly comfortable right out of the box and, most importantly for me, they don’t aggravate my old peroneal tendon injury — which many sneakers do. The support feels stable without being stiff, and there’s no awkward pressure along the outer foot. I can wear them all day without thinking about my feet (which is the highest compliment I can give any shoe). Bonus: they’re genuinely cute. Comfort and style- rare win.

Expectations surpassed. Now my favorite brand!

What a quality product! My expectations were surpassed. Great fit, terrific inserts creating arch support and quality leather. I love the soles on this shoe as they are slightly thicker and create cushion and confort when walking. A bonus is that side zipper which makes them easy to get on and off. Plus so stylish and the look can work with shorts or skirts or pants. Even at my age I can have style and great function. Worth every penny spent!!!

The name says it all!

Comfortable right out of the box. Super cute sneaker that looks great with jeans. The olive color is exactly what I was looking for. Good arch support too. Sizing is consistent with my standard shoe size. For reference I got a 7.5 but I normally wear an 8 in most sneakers. The side zipper is a plus. These are just perfect!

Comfortable and works with my narrow heel/ wider toes.

Very comfortable with great arch support. I also have a skinny foot, and These shoes worked for me because I could tighten the laces. My feet feel secure, but I still have plenty of toe room. I normally have problems with shoes slipping on my heel while cramping my toes, but not with these! Love!!!!

After a short break in period, I brought these on vacation. I love the styling that’s casual and can be dressed up a bit. Very comfortable walking shoes. I have flat, narrow feet and these provided support with style.

This seems to be a nicely made shoe, although I think it runs slightly long and narrow. I am usually a size 8.5, but I went down to an 8 because it was just a bit too long and I didn’t want to be tripping over it. Without socks, or a very thin ped, I can get away with its narrower width since this is not a shoe that I would wear with socks anyway. They are cute and I decided to keep them. I love the mid-foot support in Taos brand and appreciate their removable insets so you can use your own orthotic if you choose.

Flat feet approved!

These are my first pair of Taos. I have flat feet and needed stylish shoes with great support. These shoes are comfy and I’ve received so many compliments, definitely getting more styles.

Very comfortable and stylist; true to size. I have a wide foot due to bunions on both sides of my feet and these sneakers fit comfortably.

Comfort, support, style

These offer arch support, super comfort, and style. They look great with jeans or leggings. I could adjust the laces to have the front part of the shoe wider, and the lace-up style ensures the shoe doesn't move around on my foot. The side zipper allows the shoes to pop off and on. I've only had these a week, but so far, quality seems excellent. This is the 3rd pair of Taos I own.

Cute, comfy, and easy to wear

Love these shoes! They are super comfortable, good cushioning and arch support and the high top doesn't dig or rub on the ankle. The zipper down the side is genius - I am more likely to grab these sneakers than any others because you can just slip them on, zip, and go and it as a nice structural detail. Got the grey color and it is the perfect dark smokey gray. Highly recommend.

My Favorites

I have purchased three (3) of these adorable booties in the soft canvas, the most comfortable shoe ever. On my feet 12 hours a day, finally found a cure for feet, calves and lower back. Many, many compliments from co-workers, friends and strangers. Amazed that I can where totally cute, super comfortable shoes with anything, even dresses and skirts. Love these.

Perfect fit and style

I love the neutral color that goes with everything. They're a combination bootie and sneaker (like a crossover) and waterproof since they're leather. The arch support is just right. Firm fit, yet comfortable. Couldn't be happier!

Very cute, hard to zip

These are VERY cute and stylish and I love them. They are comfortabe and fit my wider foot very well, the toe box is just right. However, having the outside zipper is too difficult for me to use with arthritis in my hip. So sadly had to return them.

Cool Shoes!

At first, my bunions were whimpering, as they were tight across that part of my foot; but after wearing several times, the leather has relaxed and they are really comfy.

Winner is right!

I've been looking for fashionable shoes with great support for a long time and I honestly feel confident that I can pick anything from Taos and get a great result. I like high tops, so Winner was the right choice for me- I was anxious buying online without trying but the return for my other pair (ordered wrong size) was so seamless and low hassle. The shoes fit great and I LOVE that there's a zipper on the side so I don't have to fight the laces every days. The arch support is great and I can't wait to get another pair of these bad boys.

Travel, Tradeshows and Everyday Shoe Perfection

The Winner is my new favorite shoe! Sneaker comfort with elevated style and on/off ease thanks to the zipper. They have just become my go-to travel shoe. Fits true to size. I am a 9.5 in sneakers/boots. Got the 9.5, tightened the laces and perfect fit. Bought 3 pair! 2 Caramel (scuffed the first pair on day two and decided to retire them for house/errand shoes and get a new pair that I will hopefully keep pretty) and 1 Grey pair. Trade shows, travel, everyday...these shoes are great for everything!

Pleasantly surprised!

I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable these shoes are! I have short, wide feet and typically wear a size 6. 5. I ordered a 6. 5 of a style that was on clearance, so no returns. They fit like a dream. And are so comfy to walk in. I already wore them during a long travel day through several airports and they were perfect!

These are great, very nice,

These are great, very nice, well made and comfortable but they are very narrow. Taos are for narrow feet and they don’t have wide fit options. That’s my only complaint. Even if you have average width feet you may struggle with the width of taos so definitely try before you buy.

As in the other 5 pairs of shoes I’ve purchased… I love these shoes. As soon as you put them on you are good to go, all day… The arch support is great… just what I need.. The fit is true to size. I know another pair is on the horizon… just trying to decide what color…

Very cool

I wanted new shoes that fit my evolving style and these are spot on. The arch support is perfect. They are a bit stiff around the ankle, which I appreciate for the added support but makes them uncomfortable for walking longer than short distances.

Comfortable and stylish

I’ve always wanted to wear a pair of Converse shoes but they didn’t have any arch support. I have a pair of Taos sandals which I love. So I bit the bullet and bought these shoes. They are so stinking comfortable. And I think they look cool!

Perfect for Fall

Really like these! I got my normal size and the are slightly wide, but that is perfect for me to wear with a heavier sock. Plus they have the laces to tighten up if wearing thinner sock. Really comfortable and arch support feels great.

Like every pair of TAOS

Like every pair of TAOS shoes or boots I’ve ordered, these high tops are TOP quality and comfortable right out of the box. I have problems with my feet and I can wear my TAOS all day without issues. Worth. Every. Penny!

Best shoe ever

I’ve had foot pain for over a year and these shoes have been a game changer. Absolutely love them, both cute and incredibly comfortable! Will be buying in other colors.

My new favorites!

I looked at these shoes for a while and really debated about what color to get. Ended up with the olive, which is more of a light gray, and I love them! I live in Colorado and need shoes to tromp around in the snow, wet, and cold, while still looking cute. Boots are okay, but I really don't enjoy wearing them all day. These I can wear all the time in winter and they do the trick! The leather is a bit stiffer than I expected, but they are breaking in and getting more comfortable every day. The insole can't be beat and helps me stand up straight. Amazing shoes!

So comfy, very cute, wish the zipper was inside

These are the most comfortable shoes I own - I wear them with nearly everything! Jeans, leggings, dresses, to work, to walk the dog. I have the grey color and I'm sad that isn't an option anymore! I love that there is a zipper so you don't have to actually lace them every time, but why is the zipper on the OUTSIDE? It's easy to sit down, bend your knee, and zipper the inside, but the outside zipper is hard to reach and pull while standing or sitting.

Great style, but fairly stiff

I love the look of these shoes and have worn them and gotten compliments. The leather is quite stiff and has not broken in yet. As with most Taos shoes, the toe box is pretty narrow and hurts after a while. But for short term and to complete a cute outfit, they’re great. I have very narrow heels and a slightly narrower toe area than normal. The width of Taos is generally fine except the stiff and narrow toe box.

Outstanding high top

They are very supportive for my very high arched feet. I did have to relace them twice to get them tight enough. I did buy a size larger than I buy in sandals to give space for heavier socks in our Colorado winter which has worked well. Lovely easy to clean leather. My go tos are still my canvas high top Taos which have more flex. These will get there with more wear. I quite like them for cooler weather wear.
