My new favorites

These shoes are so comfortable! I have wide feet, high arches, bunions, and had major foot surgery (a former ballet dancer). They are also very warm. I have been wearing them nonstop with a thin sock. I am pleasantly surprised that converting them to a slide is just as comfortable. I normally wear a 7- 71/2 and I got size 37 (61/2-7) anticipating a minor stretch in the wool. They fit perfectly. I love them so much I bought the blue color leopard print to wear as house shoes.

Perfect for unhappy feet.

I have plantar fasciitis Morton’s neuroma and sojourns neuropathy my feet aren’t very happy. I love the support warm and toe box area of these shoes. I’ve been living in hoka Bondi 8 tennis shoe. Taos shoe is a wonderful trade off.

These are the absolute cutest

These are the absolute cutest shoes! Also so comfortable with great arch support and warm! I’ve worn them without socks and they were nice and warm—I only worry about sweating in them and making them smell bad so I may start wearing no-show socks with them. For those with bunions—the front of the foot bed is nice and wide!!

These have hands down been

These have hands down been the best fitting and feeling shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis. I been struggling with foot pain for years, these feel so good on and I can wear them all day long. They are true to size, I wear a size 10 and the 41 fits perfectly. Kept my feet warm all winter long,,still wearing them now in March. My favorite shoes.

Excellent shoes!!

These are so well made and so comfortable right out of the box. I suffer with foot pain and plantar fasciitis and these shoes allow me to wear them all day with no pain!!!

Great for around the house

I love these. With plantar fasciitis, going in sock feet or barefoot causes a lot of pain later. I bought these for wearing in our home, for when I am standing in the kitchen cooking. They have excellent support, and I can say goodbye to the foot pain I used to get after being in the kitchen prepping food.

Comfy

Bought these as my house shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis, they provide so much more support than my bear paws. They’ve provided relief for my foot pain, Love Taos and look forward to growing my collection!

Pretty and comfortable

Love Taos slippers! This is my second pair. They wear and clean very well. I have a high arch and plantar fasciitis, so these are the best house slippers for me!

Love my Convertawool’s!

I’ve been suffering something awful with plantar fasciitis and needed an indoor, supportive slipper as well as a shoe that could run errands. I love anything wool because of its temp regulating properties, especially since I’m in the cold northeast. I’m wearing them today as slides with wool socks in 0 degrees and they are perfect. I love the insoles. While these are not the cheapest pair of shoes one could purchase, especially if using as slippers, they ARE totally worth it if you have foot issues, and even if you don’t. I love that they are made in Spain with that funky Euro aesthetic and the wool is substantial. The gum rubber sole allows traction even in wet/icy conditions and I love that this can be a shoe or a slide/clog. I did get them on sale in the grey leopard print and they have been on my feet non stop with lots of compliments since I bought them two weeks ago. Fine as a shoe as well as a slipper. I will likely buy a solid colored pair at some in the future I like them so well. I’m generally a 7. 5 — went with the 8 and are perfect with it without a light sock both with and without the help piece up.

Great arches and support

Fantastic slippers! They have great support. I have plantar fasciitis and these slippers help reduce the pain. They are comfortable and attractive. I also love that the backs fold down. They are wide enough but a little too tight to wear with socks

Love Love Love

I bought the black leopard wool slipon and I love them. They are sooooo comfy. I did size down. I normally wear 7-1/2 or 8 and I sized down to 7 and they are perfect. I plan to use as slippers, not outside, but will definitely buy more. Quality fabric and workmanship. They do tend to run on the wide side, so if you have narrow feet, they won’t work for you. However, I am in my 70s and need arch support and my feet need comfort, and these fit the bill. I highly recommend…worth the money. ❤️❤️❤️

I have struggled with plantar

I have struggled with plantar fasciitis for years and was on the hunt for slippers with good support when I received a pair of Taos sneakers as a gift. These Convertawool shoes work perfectly as my household slippers, but can also be worn out into the world without feeling like "oops I left my house without shoes. " Now that I'm working from home more frequently, having good foot support around the house is so important. Highly recommend!

Warm feet with Happy Arches

It’s November and I started a few weeks of vacation by buying these black Convertawool slippers. They are amazing! With the 3/4 inch heel height, I am sure-footed indoors and out to the mailbox and back. I find myself slipping off of the taller Taos wool clogs, but after 2 weeks of near constant wear, these lower shoes are much more stable. They are warm on my bony flat feet, but never too hot. The arch and metatarsal support iseals the deal - they are comfortable to stand and cook, and I am stable to throw the ball for the dog. Perfect with jeans or sweats or shorts or a nightgown.

Extraordinary comfort

Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Since I have high collapsing arches, my feet supinate rather than pronate. Therefore, Taos footbeds do not work for me, However, after replacing the foot bed with my own orthotic, these shoes offer a level of comfort I’ve not been able to find with any other footwear. Plenty of room in the toe box for my feet to relax. The rubber sole absorbs shock when walking. My knees, hips, and low back feel good in proper footwear. If I could afford to have them in every color, I would. Do yourself a favor and give these a try.

Great arch support and quality but

I have high arches and needed the arch support. The slipper was too tight on the top of my foot. Had a shoemaker add elastic gussets to add room. Other wool styles have elastic gussets so maybe add this feature for the convertawool.

Great quality and true to size. I have high arches so the arch support isn't there for me. The slippers are very attractive and fit great.

I like these indoor shoes

I like these indoor shoes quite a lot. They are comfortable and warm, without making my feet sweat. I find them a bit big and loose fitting on bare feet, but they are great with socks. If you don't like the feel of wool on bare skin, you would want to wear socks regardless. I like that the toe box is wide. Having arch support around the house has greatly improved my joint pain in hips, knees, and my feet.

Cozy

These shoes are very impressive. The wool doesn’t create sweat and the foot bed has good arch support. The sole has a nice flex that makes walking comfortable.

I have a bunion and a lot of foot pain, fallen arches. This shoe provides support and i can wear them all day at work with very minimal pain.

Perfect indoor/outdoor slipper

Love the all wool construction & foldable heel. I have flat feet and shoes with too high of a built-in arch can hurt - these are supportive but comfy! Very pleased. If you have a high instep these might be tight.

Super Happy Feet

These are my new favorite shoes. They are the comfiest in my closet, and the pattern is just so cute and fun. I like to wear them with thin wool socks. I find hiking socks too thick, bunchy, and hot. They offer tremendous arch support without being too stiff. I could stand in these all day quite comfortably. These are my new general purpose shoes, and I will wear them for just about everything besides exercise, though I do think they would be fine and dandy for just walking. The form is very smart, and the heal is truly convertible. When it is folded down it lands in a good spot on my foot and I can wear them comfortably as clogs. (For comparison, my Acorn slippers that are convertible are very uncomfortable when the heal is folded down.) I love how much wiggle room there is in the toe box. No smashed feet here!

Comfy Shoes

These shoes are amazing for my feet. I have had surgery on both feet for destroyed joints. I can walk all day long it these, whereas with sneakers the tops irritate my feet. There is arch support also! If I could change one thing about them it would be an insole with more cushion and arch support. But I would recommend these for sure. I got the all gray ones.

Super comfy, warm & easy to slip on

Love my new slippers. Good arch support and easy to slip on. The rubber sole makes me feel secure on hardwood and carpeted floors. I wear mine inside only. I find them easy to slip on. I wear them with the heel up, not as a mule. Very comfortable and warm.

House shoes/slippers

By far, these are THE BEST house shoes I’ve ever worn! Sizing is spot on and arch support very good. The wool interior/exterior is high quality, durable, and feet remain dry and warm. Actually quite perfect for year-round SoCal coastal area.

Super comfortable, good looking, good arch support! I wear them around the house and like that they convert to mules or slippers! Warm but don’t make my feet sweat either and can be worn with socks as well!

Perfection

Wow! Where have these shoes been all my life. Worth every penny. My foot pain is minimal when wearing them and even reduced lately when not wearing. I have high arches and these are fabulous. Order 1/2 size up if you want to wear thick socks

Perfect!

I absolutely love these wool collection of Taos. I have horrible issues with my feet(arthritis). I can wear these. I wear the lace up boot and slide in type. Soft, wonderful foot bed, warm! I can’t recommend them enough.

I had been going barefoot

I had been going barefoot around the house for about 12 years. My arches were collapsing and I developed neuropathy. I needed something with arch support to wear around the house. These are perfect! I love them.

My Husband Loves These!

My husband has wide, flat feet. These fit well, are comfortable and keeps his feet warm but not too warm. He wears them everywhere!

They are very comfortable. Reading other reviews I ordered a smaller size and it fit perfectly. I ordered an eight instead of an 8 1/2. I remember reading that the wool may stretch. When I put them on, they were a little snug in the toe, but after using it for a short while they feelt comfortable. Many reviews said that there isn’t any support in the front by the toes and that is what I found, but that is not an issue for me. The arch support is very good. The back of the shoe was slightly loose, but not to the point where it caused an issue. I wear these outside as a shoe rather than inside as a slipper. They keep my feet warm. I love the color that I ordered, Gray with rose. Some say, they look clunky, but I find them looking different and that is fine with me.

Comphy and Supportive

I was visiting a friend out of town and discovered these lovely shoes. I wore them for a week and fell in love. I ordered a pair before I left! I love how they convert into a shoe or mule. The wool material stays clean and they keep feet warm but not sweaty. I live in Florida and am able to wear them indoors without feeling oppressively hot. They are well made and very comfortable and supportive. They are true to size. I wear a 10 with a wide foot and these are perfect. I highly recommend.

Convertawool clogs

These clogs are so so comfy! They fit great and have a nice footbed and arch support, I love that I can just wear them as clogs to get the mail or as shoes to go to town. I recently wore them to a dentist appt and my dentist was commenting on how he liked them and was surprised to hear they were wool, the hygienist brought up your website and they were looking at them as I left.

5 stars Amazing shoes! Worth the money!

Loved them so much last year that I ordered a second pair in a different color, this year . I have a hard time wanting to wear anything else. I always get compliments on them. Highly recommend!! And I’m very picky! Great arch support, wide toe box and they keep my feet the perfect temperature! True to size

Comfy, cozy, cute

I was looking for some house shoes with a little bit more support than your typical slipper. These definitely fit the bill. They run a little bit wider than expected, but fit great with socks on. These will keep me cozy and comfortable all winter long.

Really comfortable, the wool is heavy duty while so comfortable

This is a quality shoe and I love the flexibility of slipping them on like slippers or wearing them like a shoe with the back up. The wool is so warm and cozy while the footbed is supportive, I could wear these outside if I wanted to.

I ordered my usual size(38) and are a little too big. I will be wearing them with some cozy socks. They are super comfortable with great arch support and very well made. I love them. Thank you Taos.

Consider socks

I have awful flat feet and require orthotics. These slippers are perfect. However I wear socks with them. Definitely needed to go up a size with normal thickness socks. My feet are hanging out the back :( Too expensive to give up on lol.

Perfect Slipper

I am very careful about purchasing the best shoes for my feet. I have high arches and need proper support. Slippers should be held to the same criteria, shouldn't they?! The difficulty is FINDING slippers that check all the boxes. LOOK NO FURTHER! The Convertawool is the PERFECT slipper! (And honestly you can wear these out and about with the outdoor sole. . . and they're adorable!) I wear size 38 in all my European-sized shoes (ex: Dansko). . . so I ordered a 38. They are right on for size! As far as width, some may say they run narrow, but I don't think so. They DO "hug" my foot nicely!

Best house shoe ever!

These are the most comfortable and breathable slipper/house shoe i have ever worn. Great for high arches. My feet stay warm without getting sweaty. Wish more were in stock to buy again. Very tempted to buy as a work shoe (hospital/healthcare with a long shift on my feet), but a little nervous about not being waterproof.

The best

These are the first item I bought from Taos. I have a very high arches and finding shoes that support my feet is not easy. These are fantastic, my feet never get tired while wearing them. They are very comfortable and cozy.

Wow

I was worried these wouldn’t work for me. I have a fallen arch on one foot and a bunion on the other. I have to have a supportive shoe to wear in the house. These also keep my feet warm in Maine winters.

Very Functional Shoes!

These shoes are very built for everyday casual wear, as long as you don't step in a puddle! They have much supportive arches. The width is a plus for wide feet. The comfort and warmth are also unbelievable! They slide right on and have a back section the comes up around your heel to hold them on. Nice looking shoes, too! I've gotten multiple compliments. .

Great inside slippers at an even better price

Warm, comfortable with medium arch support. I need arch support while walking on our hardwood floors. These Convertawool are great. I also have Haflingers. I bought 2 pair, brown & gray leopard, very fashionable. After all, leopard is a neutral. I plan to wear for inside the house only.

I love these shoes! They

I love these shoes! They keep your feet warm but they don’t get sweaty! The footbed is so soft and the arch support feels great. They fit snug enough but there’s room for your toes to move around. The sole is tough yet flexible. Great design Taos, thank you!

I have foot issues being

I have foot issues being a Type 1 Diabetic. These shoes are some of the most comfortable and easy shoes to wear. I buy a lot of Tennis shoes and they are great but still these win the comfort and ease award. Great arch support and fit. Worth the price!
